....best Mk1 in the country. Awesome work! +1 I always thought Mica Blue was the best colour for an MR2, and while I still think it's an awesome colour....Chris' car is by far the best colour combo I've ever seen on an MR2. Now we need to find a black & white AE86 on gold/polished wheels to shoot with it. ;D ;D

I'd have one if I had the money. I can't remember ever seeing a white Japanese car from the 80s and not wanting it!

Sweet photos Dave,
Shame you had to chip off just after the docks...and also a shame that a lot of the places I had in mind were either closed or too busy with people selfishly filling the car parking!
Good call on the car park by the docks though....
Looking forward to seeing more pics. And I need to find some time to come over and be jealous of your computer/lightroom & editing skillz ;D

Argh! More pics! They're fantastic Dave. Bit of a moody feel to them. I'm especially liking the top one and the one in front of the roller-shutter door building with the red bricks.

Lovely, lovely car.
I have had two Sherwood models - MK1a's in green over pale gold, and still miss them. Hoping enough guys will restore enough MR2s so I can buy another later in life!!

Thanks A bit of a running theme I think. The comments I get with this car are often, "I wanted one of these in the 80s" or "I used to have one I wish I could get another". I would love to see a really mint Sherwood (green over gold) one. They are a rare sight indeed!

Just read your thread through, The car looks absolutely stunning, you've made a great job of it, Always loved MR2's but at 6ft 5 & having (very successfully) beaten anorexia, don't think I'd even fit in one !! :-)

Brawr is a tall chap isn't he? He uses seats from an Elise in his mk1. I'm 5'9" so it's not problem for me. I'm not sure what the height 'limit' would be in these. The seats do go quite a long way back.

Woo coilovers! Didn't encounter any real problems fitting them. The only issue encountered so far is the damping adjuster on the rear shocks, it's a higher than standard suspension and hits the engine lid. Just need to 'modify' the inner skin a bit. Of course I set them up as low as they could go out of curiosity. I also put them on the hardest setting to try and save the tyres from any arch contact. It looks amazing but I can't really report on how it handles because I was nursing it over bumps and round corners due to the ride height. Props to those that run these heights daily. It was fairly bouncy but not as bad as I expected. Might go out tomorrow and play around with the damping settings. BC Racing coilovers vs. KYBs (for sale if anyone wants them!) Rear top-mounts

I'm looking for £100. Just let me know and they're yours if they haven't sold in the mean time (I have got them up on the mk1club website).
