I've got some 9" Capri brakes if you like, to save me sticking them on ebay. I'm about 10 miles from MK. All the best people have dodgy Ford based kit cars Would they be direct replacement? Also are they much better? Only have drums on front and don't want to end up locking the rears the whole time! Not sure you want bigger brakes on the back of that, if its already lighter than an escort you'd probably need to fit a balance valve in it, if the stock ones work ok they should easily be enough to stop it, fade on the front discs will be your main problem if you use it hard round a track not lack of braking effort at the back, theres plenty of Escorts seeing track use on the stock rear drums.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Aah, change them sharpish, it took me about 5 mins of hooning around southend back when i was 17 to realise that escort drum brakes fade out REALLY fast, ended up with just front one partially working when i needed to stop quick.

As said, if you've only got drums on the front you don't need bigger drums on the back. I retract my offer because locking up the rear brakes at speed is not funny

Yep will see how they fare on the track, it's got a couple of noise test pass stickers on it so fairly sure seen some track action.

Well thanks to all you assistance, MOT passed!
Can personally recommend Spicers Garage in Bletchley as a no-nonsense place to use with no 'ramp issues'!
