baah... its that the crappy bug going around puts off soo much valuable time. oo awsome isnt it nice when you modify a new tool that you have just got and make it better. the bead roller definitely produces some good results now. Goodluck

Lovin that Bead roller - what sort of ££ does one of them set you back??
Definately the ticket for making swages in floorpans.
Keep up the good work!!

Cheers folks, the bead roller was £132 delivered off evilbay from Santa so I've no idea how much it was or where it came from. It's identical to the one on all the HAMB threads that's referred to as the HF bead roller. It's gonna need all the grub screws replacing with higher tensile ones in the not too distant future and I'll probably replace the handle with either a wheel or a motor at some stage but overall I'm really, really pleased with it.

^ cool, might be worth looking at one of them foot controllers from a sewing machine so you can control the motor speed with your foot as you run the metal through, more control then for making curves...

swollen - That's what I've been watching on ebizzle recently, just need to raise some paypal cash and figure an easy (cheap) foot op polarity reverse as well. Hooray, some more progress, albeit slow, but progress nontheless. Beat into shape and weld in the first infill piece And the other side And tidy up the outside Fab and buzz in some more bits and cut out the brace And tidy the inside up a bit Ooh! looks like a bit like a bulkhead to me! Bit of tidying up to do on the outside that I can't get to until the engine's out of the way again. Incidentally, the recess in the centre may look quite deep but it will hopefully allow me to tilt the engine back enough to be able to remove the gearbox separately should I need to in the future. Gradually starting to feel a little bit healthier so progress should start to speed back up. More soon!

Looking good as usual!
What are the plans for the pedals and heater? I could imagine there is a bit lack of space for them.

Cheers guys I'm gonna use the Vitara pedal box, servo and master cylinder, modified to take a hydraulic clutch master. Heater wise I'm planning a very basic heater/blower assembly cobbled together out of a mixture of Vitara and Civic bits, mounted above the passenger footwell, but only drawing air from inside the car. Hopefully this will give me deeper wading without water coming in through the vents
