Looking good! ive been eyeing up a golf splitter for my estate but I'm running a bit lower, often smash the crossmember on the floor so don't think the splitter would last long even though it looks awesome! Just rolling cut springs on the front same as you at the moment and the shocks are pretty fubared. Going to build them into coilovers.

Whilst you had the strut off I don't suppose if you noticed if they use an insert or can easily be emptied and refilled?

I'm fairly sure they have an insert, or are wet sleves.. Either way shouldn't be too hard to rig something up.

Mainly painted the brakes anyway.. First thing I did was last Friday after work was to flush the cooling system and get the muck out of the heater matrix as it wasn't getting as hot as i'd like.
Needless to say that the 'coolant' looked like coffee with bits in so I'm glad I did that, temperature sits a smidge lower on the gauge and now the heater matrix isn't blocked with what looked like the stuff immodium stops it gets lovely and warm inside

Feeling a bit happier about that, I decided I would do something a little more daft. But first some naff pictures of my exhaust..





Right. Boring dirty brakes. Don't worry. I'm not painting them red. Or blue.

Over the weekend I made a trip to see GranadaNeil, who furnished my Nissan with a better axle from a donor car he is planning on racing. For anyone in the know, my axle had started to sound like it was full of angry squirrels, so this was gladly appriciated! He also gave me a massive pile of much needed bits and bobs, like switches, a washer bottle and all the door trims so I can get rid of the initial D sticker and the random wing trim, so mega happy days!

So otherwise, this is a pretty boring update.

Also got a fuel flap in a better colour match then the old one:



And already have swapped the random wing trim over. Spot the difference!



Getting there. Put the new washer bottle in today and put new pipework in for the headlight washers as it had gone AWOL in its lifetime, so now i have working washers AND wipers. Chuffed!



Anyway, thats about it really. More as it happens!
