Hope you get it back mate, if it was stolen with other more expensive cars then it might have been for export. Not a lot of these around anyway that Ive seen so shouldn't be hard to spot especially with that number plate being easy to remember.

Sorry to hear that mate. If you see a few threads down i had my escort stolen earlier this summer. I know how it feels to come home and first notice the car is missing and it sinks in that its been nicked, gutting! I also had the misfortune of having just ordered new parts which came in the post afterwards! Just rubbed it in.
Anyway mines was stolen by joyriders and was written off (although someone has since bought it from the insurance company to fix up) however this seems like an altogether more unusual theft. Does sound like export to me...
Anyway i hope you do find it and in good order!

I don't think thats the kind of support he will really appreciate tbh Oh yeah I know he's just had his car nicked so why don't I make him feel better by slagging it off.. As for your second comment this isnt really the place to debate it but it is a stupid small minded thing to say.... It isn't the first comment I have seen you make lately which is quite frankly bordering on racism, please don't assume everyone will find this kind of humour funny. End of rant.

ETA: I think someone may have hacked his account, as before today's 'outbursts' he'd not been online since May?

curious choice of car to steal, probably stolen because it was easy to take. Shows we should all be vigielent and there is no such thing as a car nobody would steal.
I have a soft spot for these after i had one as a get-me-by winter car a year or so back. Utterly reliable motoring for buttons.
Hope it turns up intact.

I know its not of any consolation but if a car was stolen I would rather it be for export rather than scrap. Anyways keep us updated if you do find it, hope so I love these old cars. Really annoys me (as polite as I can get ) that some scrote can happily steal someone elses pride and joy and then do what they like with it. Just out of curiosity how would they be able to export it without the docs as I'm sure you need all the docs to transfer it out of the country. Not planning on doing anything don't worry, have just always wondered how they did it as Ive seen it so many times but never been able to figure it out.
