They do like their sprints over there don't they! There's loads in this thread.
Dreadnaught - Did that really need to be said? Fair play it's your opinion, but what good could come from those posts? The only possible outcome of them is that they'd bring the mood down a bit in this thread, so why bother?

The japanese ones are cool but I wouldn't say they're better/worse than some of the English built modified Minis. The problem with Minis in the UK is you get so used to seeing them with the same modifications its hard to keep the interest going to seek out the really nice ones.

As above. It can become a bit sameish but then, that's why the ones that are really innovative stand out so much!!!!

I think the Japanese modded Minis stand out, because: -they are build to a high standard (although in Japan they don't shame for "bought not build") -they use classic sixties racing styling clues/ period parts Anyway, let's leave the talking to the pictures!

I can't be arsed to sugar-coat this anymore, because I don't understand why are people trying to wreck this great thread with pointless negativity, so: Darjan and dreadnaught, listen carefully, no one cares.Take the negativity elseware. None of us give the tiniest little bit of an already insignificant backside if you don't like some of the cars in this thread. If you don't, simply close it or hit the back button, and move on with life. Your posts in this thread serve no purpose beyond bringing other people down. Opinions are fine, but they don't have to be shared if nothing constructive can possibly come from them, you don't shout insults at random people in the street because you don't like their fashion choice, so why do essentially the same thing on here? (Apologies if I've misinterpreted any of your posts.) Anyway, I love sprints, and there's lots in this thread, here's a fairly self explanatory picture to show the differences with a sprint for anyone unaware of them: They're so well proportioned they're actually really easy to not notice, easiest way's to look at the screens rake and the distance between the indicators and headlights.

I saw this one L2B run this year, was completed obsessed with its Lucas P700 lights. So I only noticed it was Sprinted when I look at the pictures at home...

(Apologies if I've misinterpreted any of your posts.) What negativity? If I can't write my opinion.. There doesn't need to be anything new, it's just a case of careful application of existing ideas that makes some of the cars so nice. Technically, there's nothing really new on any scene that hasn't popped up somewhere else. I have a Mini and there is nothing "scene" or otherwise about it, it's just a mini and it's perfect as is. "Done to death" is a bit of a strong statement, the car is 53 years old, there has been time for modification. +1

What negativity? If I can't write my opinion.. Sorry, re-reading your post it looks like I misunderstood it and re-reading it it doesn't seem so bad at all really, so yeah, sorry about that. Loving that sprint Van, very cool, and like you say, very nicely done!

I love this one, subtle styling changes and from the front anti-roll bar i would assume its got a bit of go behind it. Very nice.
