well, where to start with this one a few years ago I took a trip out to a nearby breakers yard - david kelly car dismantlers of legacy, rhosllanerchugog (near wrexham) - he's a jag breaker in the main, but he always has heaps of old toot lying about now, at the moment I'm trying to get my nissan laurel C32 back on the road, but with a slam and some 'non too subtle' mods - only problem is slamming a laurel is tricky due to the lack of coils on the front. So, while at the ace for the awards night, I remembered to ask will (datman) if he had any c32 front struts - he didn't, but he revealed that S12 silvia struts would go on - now, where had I last seen a silvia.... coming back from area 52 the following weekend I popped in, and the silvia was still there, and it's struts were still on, so I arranged to pop back when I had more time fast forward a week or so, and my old man reminded me that dean in wrexham had some transfer boxes for him, so off we went on a mini tat mission I took some pictures last time, and they seemed to go down well, so here's another batch the object of the mornings operations, a slightly crusty S12 - turbo already gone sadly here's the bits I was after, struts, complete with TCA's and brakes, as it was too cold to be messing about completely stripping it sorted! - note the ice on the strut bodies, and also the huge sheet of lexan we found under the boot carpet while looking for the nissan toolkit also notice the pop rear window - I found this in the undergrowth while having a pee, and found myself piddling on the almost totally overgrown (and borked) shell of a ford pop!

after digging all that tat off the nissan, it was time to commence the other part of the tat mission, finding a wiper arm for jrevilug - as some traveller twunt had corkscrewed his while he was parked in a street by area 52 - luckily it was shared with a rover p6, and guess what there was round the corner no, not the HC estate - under it I sent pops in to get that off, as tbh I didn't fancy a 'viva-hat' next thing was a trailer I'd seen which seemed to have 16" austin devon wheels on it - which as you should know by now are ford pattern, and very handy things to have unfortunately to say that it was buried was an understatement, so after 15 mins of lifting stupidly heavy things off it, we gave up - ever lifted a whole jag IRS and crossmember? - I have!! so, I grabbed the camera, and set off on a quick yard tour before we headed home

hang on, we aren't even half way yet and my pc has just spaffed it's load - fingers crossed wanky old photobucket won't cause the same problem twice or I'll have to kick my pc down the street!! the jag above looked like the forklift had found a weakspot in the A pillars somewhat... random yard shot robinxr4i spec omega - potential drifftorz project fatha kev considers the mk2 golf but then thinks he's struck the SU carb goldmine with a maestro van - sadly not tyred looking MGB (groan) landy may possibly have been the yard mule the last time I went in moar coming!!

crikey Kev that green car in the background looks like a Renault 17 not many of them around and that one looks surprisingly intact, i would have expected the tin worm to be up to the trim line by now
