Well I got a 2001 at the moment ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) mainly because it only cost £450 and it was cheap to run. But on a plus note, I'm hoping to get something older within the next few weeks.

1970 Rover P6 3500 V8 is my most used vehicle at the moment. I don't own anything newer than 1971 though. Depending on jobs, the mileage the P6 does could rocket significantly... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Same! though mine is a '76. I have to sort out a few small niggles from it sitting for so long with minimal use, I think a wheel bearing is dying, kickdown linkage needs some tlc and I have to work out the airconditioning and other little jobs, but it's been fantastic so far. So comfy. I just bought some 15in Rostyles for it. Beats riding my Kawasaki GTR! That's very tidy ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Mine has an LT77 5 speed 'box, PAS conversion, a few engine mods and no air conditioning. I'd really like a set of Cosmics for it sometime in the future. ![](http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/jdiwell/peesix/PC13.jpg) Pic taken by Mysterymachine ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

1973 XJ6 series 1. Used and driven hard, sleeps outside, never left me stranded even in the snow we had in December.
First long trip in it after it being stood for no idea how long (last tax was in the 1990's) was to the Le Mans Classic. Piled 10,000 miles on it since then, it's by far the most dependable car I've ever had.
Hoping to give it semi retirement to tidy it up and upgrade it's engine by using a 1983 Series 3 XJ6 daily instead.

2 x daily rides - most of my driving is currently spilt an even 50/50 between them.
1994 L300 Delica for hauling, load lugging, tat running etc.... 1999 Mk1 Punto Sporting, used whenever I don't need the Delica
I'd say that the Punto falls firmly into the 'modern' category for me and it seems so strange when I stop and think about it that it's actually 12 years old!! The Delica, however, teeters on the Retro for me (I guess being designed in '87 puts it more in that category in my eyes?)

i wanted to choose modern, but it only went back to 2001, so had to click on retro [?] 1989!! still a modern car in my eyes as you cannot share parts with other brand of cars such as head and tail lights,

Very ugly but excellently running 1998 corsa (named Pieces as that's where it's going and the reg is PSYS)) is a good backup daily while I build up the enthusiasm to replace the gearbox (and do about 10 other jobs) on the 1988 Samurai which is my normal daily. ![](http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww143/suterman102/DSCF3973.jpg) The corsa is struggling not to fall apart as I am using it for work but holding up the best it can.

daily for me is the '69 ford f250, but if I fixed any of my huge fleet of old chod up and got them on the road, they would still be pre '90
interesting poll results!
|
|
Almost on the road: b11 sunny breadvan, e36 tds, 325i skidcar,
nearly there: ford f250 tathauler, suzuki alto, u11 bluey
not for a while: ford pop, 32 rails,
not in this lifetime: ruby, '29 hillman

I do a fair bit of mileage working in construction so all I ever do for my dailys is buy 300-500 shitters and drive them til something expensive breaks. My mileage allowance pays for them within a couple of weeks! Current daily is a 94 Corrolla wagon that his so far been excellent.

Seeing as the Renault hasn't yet made it to the road, the daily is the wife's 'old' truck that I got as a hand-me-down, 2007 Silverado. curse word on fuel for the daily commute (16mpg) but comfy and doesn't hang about if I give it some on the loud pedal, which kinda makes up for it. Plus it has a working radio, which is nice
