Just curious before I bag a ticket for the Sunday, how many Billy-no-mates (like me) go on their own to the gathering? Quite a few go on their own I believe. Obviously not at Gathering, but I often go to car shows and race meets on my own, nice freedom to wander around, pick and choose what I want to do. Other times I'll go with someone, or bump in to someone I know and then it is nice to wander around and chat to someone.

Hi David, is there any option / simple way to refund a gathering tickets order? We've double booked and can't attend this year. Should be a link in the ticket email. If not drop me a message here and I'll give you the email address.

akku 's recent post has nudged me in to sharing this. I took the photos a while back at a Bicester Heritage meet. This is the fabulous Hillman Husky built by absolute legend Dave Rothwell. From an advert when it was sold in 2009 "325BHP Cosworth Turbo Engine, Manual Cosworth Gearbox, Mazda RX7 Front Suspension, Alfa Romeo Spyder LSD rear axle, Disc Brakes All Round, Full Leather Interior with Porsche 911 Seats" Proper stuff.

I am all about this stuff at the moment. That intersection between lowrider bombs and customs. A lot of Dead-end Magazine video content floats on this cross over. This Dodge belongs to a chap called Simon Fox Heis building a new ride at the moment. He is on Instagram as simonfox3

Thought that would fetch strong money, even with the work needed. The prices of this gen of Supra have been creeping up and up, not quite Mk4 prices, but still strong money for our little corner of the car world.

Any suggestions on how to fill the PPC void? There genuinely isn't anything. Retro Cars went, Fast Cars went, PPC now gone. I like the idea of something like 28mag (as per biturbo228 ) for the modified car scene. Other niche hobbies have gone through similar transitions, it has taken cars a long time due to the size of the hobby I expect. When we looked at doing the Retro Rides magazine and tried to Kickstart it we were aiming for the glossy quarterly approach. We dodged a bullet I reckon as it would have launched in April/May 2020! I actually considered also going the other way, proper oldschool Zine type publication, my wife gets a few on various esoteric subjects, they seem to come out infrequently, cost about £8-10*, are all black and white and dense with text. Not sure how that would work for the very visual world of cars. I know someone (maybe tdk ??) was doing a magazine that was mainly stories and not much (if any) photos. *often come with little extras like stickers and such

What happened to it in the end? Believe it ended up with Elo at the London Motor Museum ... so is probably rotting behind a warehouse now.

Chevron B8 but I would have to renew my comp International C licence then first.. One of my favourite cars of all time, if not my very favourite. Interestingly I found out that one of my neighbours in my (very small) village actually has one and races it. Hoping to one day sit in it and make brrrm brrrm noises haha.

I wouldnt mind pottering around in Cornwall in an a60 but I feel like I'm supposed to say something exciting. You know what, everyone has different dreams. I think I shared the totally unobtainable ones. I also dream of driving around in shakotan style 4dr pillarless hardtop Datsun 330C on a summers day with the windows down, full of friends.

My dream drive/bucket list drive is a Group C car of almost any description. I suspect it would be much more of a car than I could honestly get much out of, but the chance to try would be nice. Would have to work up to it though with some track driving practice and suitable lessons I feel.
Other than that on the road I think I'd like to give a Ferrari F40 a go, it was my poster car as a youth.
For modified stuff, Vocks Amazon for sure or Hillmerson Manta, from the early days of RR.

Spotted this at Dragstalgia last week in the Show & Shine. As per usual, I don't really know anything much about it, so any infos others may have would be nice Ooh ooh me, me I know something about this. It won Truck Van Wagon award at Retro Rides Weekender this year. It is running an MX5 engine and air ride. Owned and built by Stylecraft Coachworks www.instagram.com/stylecraft_coachworks/ all the paint work is his, loads of little touches inside too. Excellent thing.
