Joy of joys I will be getting a suzuki 80 step thru ( same as a honda 70 but with 10 more cc) its early 1980s I think and has been in a shed for the last 6 years and its free! I need some ideas would love a bobber but this steed will have to do for the time being , and I aint going to leave it standard, have never left a car standard so why a bike! had a look around but didnt find lots of insperation can you help?

ok, modern cars scare me due to their complex nature but, change is constant and deffinate, so less moaning and lets solve the problems we come across.I think people get scared of new things (i do), going from an aircooled bug to a diesel was a whole new world of pain but I looked around absorbed infromation and got my head around them. if we learn to embrace new technologys and use them to OUR advantage we can still have tinkering fun and people will make parts for the diy mechanic we just need to give them a market to do it. So don't panic just have a spare car(or two) if one breaks to allow for problem solving and jobs a good'un! I seem to recall that in the early years of vw , valve guides wore out making cylinder heads scrap untill some clever spark decided to solve the problem, and look at the after market parts you can get now.

I say dork cool! slam it with some nice rims , it would turn heads because its so rubbish , my rule of thumb is that if you can get attention from a cool slammed cars why cant you do it with a curse word one. its only about changing peoples perceptions. some thing is only cool if you make it so.

the dump valve simulator sounds akin to the noise of a primary school music lesson cymbal. one drives whilst the crew member riding shot gun times the cymbal strikes as he is changing gear....... and so you get brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ----tshhhh . what a bag of dog yog. just buy a cymbal.

they wallow around corners but are better if slammed and look better too! built like a tank , my old man had a 340 which be got for free and drove for over 2 years with a burnt valve no problems. also had a mate who put one through a hedge and into a field and drove out the field after is had gone over a quite substatial drop with only a light crack on the bumper to show and a ton of dirt over the front . so they are preffty safe.
