Thank you both for your replies Dez and colnerov! I really appreciate it. I wasn’t expecting answers this quick! Does this confuse matters then? The code on this head looks to me like it says 59A 6050B. Both heads have Ford stamped on the lower middle when looking from above. 50B appears to have ‘2B’ or ‘28’ cast into the top of the head too. This head is 49A. Other than Ford and the 81A 6049A code on it, it appears to have no other info. I’ll get photos of the water pump and inlet manifold tomorrow, and better photos of the heads. The steering box was what was really throwing me, I thought it didn’t seem related but also thought it must’ve been of certain age…

Hello all! I have done a little digging around online trying to identify some Ford flathead parts I have. All the parts came as one lot including two heads, an intake manifold, generator, water pump and a few extra pulleys plus a steering column/box. I’ve not found anything particularly conclusive about the heads. One of the heads has the code 81A 6049A stamped into it. My thinking was that these would probably be V8 Pilot bits seen as I bought them here in the UK, but now I’m not so sure. I’d assume all engine parts match this engine as they’re all painted the same colour blue - other than the generator. The steering column I’ve not looked into, as to be fair I wasn’t quite sure where to start. I thought I would ask on here if anyone could identify as I know we have a great mix of interests and knowledge on this forum! Any help is greatly appreciated Photos of everything to be added later once I’ve figured out how on mobile.

When last did you even see one? Probably about 10 years ago now, local garage had one of these sat round the back when me and friend went round the site after school as it was getting cleared through auction. Think it’s the first and last time I saw one! A 131 2000TC Supermirafiori. They made an effort to tidy up before the sale, boat was gone as well. Left to right goes Bmw e24, the 131, Rover Metro with front end damage, Fiat Argenta another e24. There were a couple of Bristols on site, Porsche 924 turbo, RX7s, Porsche 928 that spent my entire childhood on jackstands and so much more. This photo was posted either on this thread on the abandoned thread all those years back, thank you to the OP.

Terrible photo, but I was quite surprised to see something like this in the UK. John Deere 8440, think it may be pivot steer.

Is that a wall behind the Fiat 126, or another vehicle? As mentioned above, it is actually a combine, it’s a Ransomes of some description. The reels were made of wood if I recall correctly.

I had this same Herbie, you could make it do wheelies and swap the plastic wheel centres around so it could have steels as well if I recall correctly?

Was thinking of posting my Baleno in here, now I guess this gives me good reason to. I got this two years ago with 52,000~ Miles on the clock, only a couple of older lady owners (apparently this is good), is a local car (that’s the sort of thing I like) and was £650. It wasn’t show room condition, but pretty close to immaculate for a 17 year old car. It’s the rarer GSR model, which as far I can tell means it’s one of 599/600 produced. The five spoke Speedline alloys are original equipment fitted only to this model, has a GSR specific interior and white dials. It supposedly pushes out 119BHP from an all alloy 1.8L twin cam 4 cylinder, weighs 995Kg and is generally a great little hoot to drive. The 1.6/1.3 GS’ have tempted me, a couple were on eBay last month for less than £400 with MOT, there’s a REEAALLY nice looking blue one on there for £750 now. Would be good to try and keep the miles off the GSR. I like to tell people, production numbers for the GSR model actually make it rarer than a Ferrari F40

Terrible iPhone photo. Last time I was here this car was completely buried, not sure if someone’s had a tidy up or the weather wasn’t as Bramble friendly this year.

Found a Calibra Se7 Ecotec on my walk tonight. Same owner since 2010, mot expired in 2013. Covered so maybe not completely rotten. Didn't seem to be vandalised either. Calibras have been growing on me lately, seem able to get fairly decent looking ones for not much money too...🤔

Been watching this one for a while, was tempted. Now you’ve put the idea of VIP styling it in my head, I’m worried I won’t be able to resist!
