Got another Mustang Notchback today. Have a couple of those Caterham's myself. Like say not the quickest but good fun. I do try have at least a pair of any given car so the old "that cars better" arguments can be kept to a minimum.

Yes it's copper tape stuck over the steel rails and the magnets do still work, I remove the magnets from most of my cars as the are really strong these days and prevent tail happy fun.

Not got any myself, always wanted them as a kid. Things can get out of hand though.
Cannot imagine the money that's been spent on this.

Seeing Geoff Cousins' 34 Ford Cope was a bit of moment for me. Was at Doncaster Custom show, 1991 (I think) alongside Phil Rutherford's & Andy Lee's roadsters in a "Best in Britain" display. The other two were good but it was the Geoff's car that really took the biscuit and pretty much over shadowed everything else in the hall. The pointy tapered stance, the attention to detail and the over-all look really got to me, and the fact that it was there in real life, not just in a magazine, made my day. For reasons I'll never know, I didn't take any photos so here's someone else's pic with apologies. A few years down the line, seeing Pete Tyas's '32 coupe driving, looking super cool, not just sitting still on a showfield. another of those cars that was a notch above evreything else on the scene at hat time. Then there's the first time seeing a Plymouth Super Bird, a car I'd always believed was super rare, never expected to see one in England. I went to the Doncaster show that year and was amazed by that car to. Was there also one Keith Atkinson's orange cars on the stand to. Never saw the Tyas car which I believe was sold and went off to America (maybe).

A little bit of detailing.

Body painted. Will let the paint harden then T-cut the sharp edges off between the colours then attempt to detail it.

Well it runs and has done a few laps. Great fun to drive around leaning from side to side. Picked up my paint today so hope to get some colour on over the weekend.

My parents neighbour had one of those Viva estates when I was younger. Same colour to. I had a Mini which required painting and his Viva did to so over weekend a compressor and all the guns were hired and both cars got painted in our respective garages.
One car given a coat, guns all cleaned everything over the wall and the next car done then everything back over the wall to repeat the process.

Spent an hour this afternoon getting the body sitting right and the wheels looking good in the arches. Happy with it so far. Still not sure if it will end up as the Sand Scorcher.
