an update! how it currently looks note stylish duck tape on the a pillar, this is covering a hole where the original aerial mounted which then rotted, so some kind person squiged a clod of filler in the hole I Think the screen will have to come out for that repair. I've tackled the grot under the slidey door rail. I've lost the lead for my garage digicam so can only show you a before and almost finished stages: Mmmm tasty: and now: Basically the middle 30 cms was missing also holes at both ends of the rail. Once the grot was cut out, I had to make up 3 panels that followed all those contours. I also added extra strength but welding in some more supports on the inside. thankfully Toyota provided access panels to get at the other side of the panel. I currently welding in a new rear door bottom - pic to follow An finally bored of welding and sanding filler I tarted up my beer fridge ;D

A mate of mine has the estate version, really nice to drive - feals very modern too me. Rot seems to be mostly the front wings (availible from hadrians) and rear arches appart from that they are pretty good at resisting rot. Parts are easy to get hold off from motor factors and not just servicing bits. And just about every thing will be availble from toyota, they even keep bits for 70's hiaces ;D That 2.0 was also used in celicas of similar age so they arnt to sluggish ether. Mpg late 20's more on a long run. P.C.D is probably 5x4.5"
