Bike carbs are fussy about fuel pressure. They like the pressure low. Are you using a bike fuel pump? Yes. Running the original bike pump along side the tank in the boot. Its almost like it's running on 3 cylinders on tick over but picks up as the revs increase. But still seems to bog down mid throttle! I've taken a vacuum feed for the servo off of number 4 inlet. But should I be taking a feed from all 4 inlet pipes? I did wounder if this might have been the issue as its number 4 carb that seems to struggle!but blanking it off doesn't seem to make much difference!

It may be a bit late now but shouldn't the carb float bowls (at the bottom) be horizontal / parallel to the floor rather than angled as it's in a basic form the same as fitting 4 Stromberg carbs and I know those don't perform if the float chambers are not level?
Nice work on getting the manifold built.
I did original fit them with the bowls level but looking at how they sit on the bike they came off and speaking with others seems there about right and it doesn't really make much difference!

Was tonight. And still not happy with them.!! Still seems thats it's only running on 3 at ideal and has a flat spot mid range! Might just stick the twin choke back on.

Just a little update. Plan to make a new inlet for the bike carbs after they popped off the silicon hoses, after some people told me they might ! And other than that just been out driving it and getting some shows in.

I fitted the same set up to my 100e..made a massive difference. And makes driving it so much easier with an historic shoulder injury!

Thanks for the replie. I wonder then if it might be an issue with the variable speed controller?? trying to power the unit both ways ?? As when driving in a straight line, it does seem to want to " twitch" left and right a little bit ?!! I just put this down to the tracking possible being out and it just trying to correct itself all the time ?! It certainly could be the controller, but it could also be a fault inside the ecu itself. Its going to be a case of changing one and seeing if it fixes it, then if not changing the other i'm afraid. You might be able to borrow an ecu off someone just to try, as its a simple plug in thing and easy to test. Thanks for that.somthing to try. Just been out for a quick drive in it. A d ironically it seemed to be working fine again. ?!! So its definitely baffling!!

Hi sorry to dug up an old post ! But I retro fitted a corsa B ( I think it was a B,!) Unit to my 58 100e last year. All seems to work fine. But I've started to notice that after driving for a while, it seems to "lock up"! Meaning not only does the wheel go heavy, but it take a bit of pressure to get it to turn ! Once turned a little in either direction, assistance comes back and steering goes light again.?? Just to add I leave the VR in the fully assitanced position as it seems fare nicer to drive like that. Steering is really hard if left in the unassisted position.!!

So I went with full front bumper in the end. And the lower spec pop front grill.. And I think it works Also made a start on some banded steels for it. To pop on at a later date And vinyl painted the rear seat black. Still little bits to do. But now able to get out and use it ..

great shot pete.. bet it sounded sweet on the carbs! any plans for a front bumper (or 1/4's)? just looks a little odd with one on the tail but not the nose. Not sure yet. I've got a couple of front bumpers with a plan to make a pair of 1/4 bumpers for it. But not sure if I will yet 🤔

So had it running on the bike carbs, eventually! After lots of messing about that is !! But it went well, ish! but sounded great..till they carbs popped of the silicon hoses😔 So I'm going to re design the inlet again and bolt them back on at a later date. So for now the twin webber is back on it.. Most recent photos I have of it. Enjoy

Not updated in ages ! Rear end pulled apart and rebuilt. Fabricated new panhard arm. Line lock fitted. And knock up an inlet to run bike carbs. Cut a polished the boot to see what the 30 year old , cellulose paint would come up like. It will definitely do for now ! I'll let the pictures tell the story .
