Good god that's amazing.

This has got me thinking that I really want to have a go at doing one myself now. Thanks for inspiring me...and I'm sure lots of others too.

Thanks, it's wierd to be the inspiration on here rather than the inspired.
I'd honestly suggest having a go, it's cost me next to nothing. About £20 in total.
The pen I used was a Posterman, I picked up for £2.50 odd.
I'll bolt it to the car for a little while I think, but was intended just as a thing to do.

Would you be interested in selling at all? I fancy having something like that hanging in the new garage and there is no way I'm capable of anything like that...

Thanks.
Well of course commissions would be an honor, as long as you know what your getting. I'm no professional artist, just an IT Technician with a black marker, and it takes time as it's done purely when I've got a spare moment.
But if you let me know what you would like, which bonnet and general content, then I could have a go. Theoretically speaking.
Still need to see if I can clear coat this one without it running.

Mega! I think this bonnet/panel painting is a proper modern equivalent of true, one off, bespoke customising

Has anyone got any advice on clear coating the bonnet, I've got a can of lacquer, but its such a large area, how do I go about spraying it evenly?

Il say it again man, get some smaller designs submitted on threadless.com and i reckon with your talent you won't have difficulty being chosen which is $2000 per accepted submission!

Fair enough man, I think my mate got third time lucky. The payout was worth it though. And what I'm seeing on both bonnets you have posted display a lot of talent
