East Anglian Meets 2011 (Norfolk/Suffolk)

1st Tuesday Every month

Sarnies are provided by the landlord May till Sept (provided 10 or more attend)

Meetings are still held rest of the months but tend to be Public Bar orientated rather than the large and spacious grassed car park

Dates for the Diary 2011

5th & 12th April (special arrangement)
3rd May
7th June
5th July
2nd August
6th September

Rest of the year lets see what the feeling is in September

Location - The Angel P.H at Larling just of the A11 near Snetterton

If you coming from Norwich you'll see us from the A11, it's the first turning after Snetterton circuit and then the first left off the slip road.

Why this place?

For the official well attended spring summer and autumn meets he's always done free sarnies (always more than 10 people for those months - rest of year bar snacks are always avaliable)

It's easy to find and just of the A11

It has nice big grassed car parking area - in summer months thats where we can meet.....

Raining or freezing.................. The Pub has two bars - Public and lounge Plan is to have meet in the lounge but if it's heaving in there default to public bar.......

- Carpet on the floor will be the givaway

- It does good beer (being a free house)

Err 7.30 ish ends when they tell us to go home which can be quite late if they forget we are in the grassy car park ;D

Me I get there about 8.30 but then I'll be late for my own...... (fill in with the obvious word).

Just wondering whether it might be better to postpone the April meet to next Tuesday rather than tonight? Doesn't look like being much of a turnout tonight so far - maybe more people would be free next week?

I ended up fitting a rear anti roll bar incorrectly to my E21 and then I took it out for a drive and smashed it up a grass bank... I should have come for a pint instead!

Considering I lost the car around 50mph on a country road I've done pretty well! I could have been seriously injured on that road and I expected the car was going to roll! I have a stiff neck and the car is surprisingly ok, I can't really see anything wrong with it when I got it back over the pit. I might need to check the steering alignment but thats about it, it's not even dented! I think I've incorrectly torqued up my anti roll bar drop links which caused a bias in the handling left and right, the car was oversteering to the left and to the right it was ok. I had just come off a slight bend and was actually on a straight bit of road when the car pitched to the left and smashed up the grass bank! Edd and Christian towed me off the bank and I limped it home...

Yup, it would suit me. I should see if there's any interest in the local Datsun people in coming to this, we met at mine late last year and theye expressed enthusiasm for getting together more regularly.
