Did it win anything?! The T5 won the 1994 BTCC!! Which was funny. Imagine all those BMW and Renault drivers with steam coming out of their ears! ;D

They were only banned because they won the BTCC, if they didn't I bet we'd still see estates in the BTCC!

Happens all the time. The Minis and Imps that dominated the Monte Carlo rally's top five places in the mid 60s got banned for stupid reasons because the French organisers weren't amused when the two major British cars kicked the French teams teeth in. And the six wheeled Tyrrel F1 car got banned because it embarassed the other cars. So did the Brabham 'fan car' with the huge fan on the back to suck away air from under the car to create downforce.

They were only banned because they won the BTCC, if they didn't I bet we'd still see estates in the BTCC! Same as quattro... *sigh* It worked, VERY Well, they cleaned up so it was banned....  |
