1300 FWD came with a spare fanbelt in the spare wheel well, and another in the scuttle. I also found a rather nice watch and a pack of 1967 dated cigars under the carpets.
DAF came with a bill of sale and reams and reams of unexpected service history. It also had a caligraphy set under the rear seat

A couple of years ago wasn't there a link on here to a VW Splitty that was being restored in the States, and he found loads of drugs that had been hidden in the box sections?

I think the foot in the footwell is a bit of an urban myth, remember getting told about it back in the early 80's it was in a transit back then.
Scariest thing we found was a huntsman spider (google it for size) under the dash of a Sigma Wagon we had in Aus, found it about 1am when it dropped down on my leg whilst driving in the middle of nowhere, you wouldn't beleive how quickly you can make a fully loaded wagon stop under those circumstances......

Rather you than me, seen a few of those, big orrible grey hairy things. Cant remember where I heard this but spiders in Oz cause more deaths that way than through bites (obv a huntsman isnt going to bite you anyway, but it's still scary)

Nothing great, found a court summons for the previous owner is a car i bought. and in the chevette i found a fan belt, behind the cambelt cover. I'm sure thats what caused the belt to jump a tooth, but i know for sure its not there now!

In my Hillman I managed to get the boot open (came with no key), that liberated I think 9 screw-type jacks like what come with cars and none of them fit the car or worked nor had any handles. Three old Hessian sacks that fell apart when I lifted them, an old Sainsbury's bag, back from when the logo was brown and orange J. SAINSBURY PLC. with a bunch of assorted tools in, again, none of which fit the vehicle- they were whitworth.
The rear seat liberated a mouse nest with a long-term tenant inside, skeletonised, and I found about 70p in old money under the dash and carpet, all green with damp.
My Victor came with a H4 headlamp in the glovebox. The thing had sealed beams. That and a very dried up bottle of yellow headlight paint, lots of blade type fuses.
I seem to get the spares for everyone else's cars with mine

Just googled it, bearing in mind I hate spiders, even ones as big as 10p pieces. F*ck that! Think I'd actually crash in that situation. On topic, when I was cleaning the interior of my Dad's old Pajero, I found the remains of a small bird in one of the rear ashtrays. It had been in there that long that it didn't smell at all, and was just a lump that looked like a bit of pot pourri with a beak on. It was definitely a beak though, and it definitely wasn't pot pourri. Could have been a Japanese bird, i.e. there before the truck was imported. Quite grim tbh.

I bought an old SEAT (Cant remember the name - it was 900cc I think) for £60 and found £20 quids worth of change in the ashtray...! I was well pleased!
Also I had a car stolen then recovered and I was left with a load of really strange love notes that the thieves were sending to each other!?

I bought a 205 GTi 1.9 when I was 19 (16 years ago ) and when I cleaned the interior I found a used condom with a deposit inside under the front seat! Fortunately they had tied a knot in it!

When I bought D888 XJM, my first Piazza, there was rather a lot of loose skunk in the centre console. Later on when I had a section of the dashboard off there was a triple wrapped bag of green in a hollowed out compartment just below the A pillar.
Other than that, nowt much. There was a green £1 coin from 1983 virtually embedded in the floor of my Amazon, several sheets of newspaper from South Africa (Christ knows, it's never left Europe AFAIK) and lots of soggy insulation.
On a related note, I won a Volvo reserve tank in the USA, had it shipped to Blighty.......... ......whereby I discovered it half full of fuel and the box rattling with coffee beans and seeds of an unknown description. I planted them in the field near the unit for good luck. The fuel went into the 480 and got me from Uni to home and back several times.
There's definitely an ethnography series in the offing.

I remembered another find. I did once clean the director/owner of a once well known Nissan main dealers daughters MR2 and found a mucky pair of her panties under the passenger seat. She had obviously been a naughty girl at some point ! One of the mechanics had it away with them and he was locked in the toilet for at least 20 mins. I think one of the salesmen had them next and they were never seen again

I havn't had anything special, just the usual coins, odd sockets, screwdrivers ect, i did have a run for a while where every car i seemed to buy had sunglasses in them, the wife got a nice pair of dkny sunglasses. I bought a mk2 escort and found a 9ct gold bracelet on the little card shelf below the steering wheel. I also found nearly £5 in change in a maestro in a scrap yard in the early 90's, it was a hle i think and the owner must have thrown all his change on the dash, i was under the dash and banged my head and heard a rattle, i sat up and banged the dash with my hand to hear it again, the car had a trim on the front of the dash, so with a good yank it came off, it was hollow and full of coins.

similar to Joe, above - I've got a set of sunglasses somewhere I lifted out of a car, and my brother found a pair of aviators in one of my cars. I bought an E34 unseen once and it came with a almost new CD/SD player, with manuals, a full (of country!) SD card, orange sunglasses (!), and a half gallon of oil, atf, new front and rear brakes, suspension mounts and other new parts I didn't expect. Recent one had a shakira CD and todays E36 compact had a decent Nike rucksack in the boot - been meaning to dig one of my old ones out this week but this is slimmer and will do very nicely for when I'm out on the bike this summer.
As for change: I've had circa 90 cars in 6 years and I can only remember TWo i haven't got any change in. Current record I think is around £17 in coins.

some funny and some gruesome stories ;D
Nothing brilliant to add really, the obligatory money, found unused condom and a memory stick in a Pug 106 i got recently.
An Escort I sold the other months had a colouring book, hairbands, another spare key in the ashtray, and most impressive of all a Vauxhall Corsa wheel and 4 litres (un bottled!) in the spare wheel well!! Wierd!
One of my Ax's came with a free Ministry of Sound CD, loads of spare ignition parts and spare clocks (the car later died on me and I had to get towed home. The problem..........ignition based!! darn:( )
Another Ax i bought off a mate (for £75!) had a block of strong mature cheddar unopened in a rear door pocket. It was a good few months out of date and had an odd feel to it, needless to say it didn't get opened!! lol
