Nice one of teh few old cars of mine i miss is my old 2.8 GhiaX exec, nice old barges, cheap to buy (or used to be) and expensive to run, swapping to the EFI 2.9 is a great step, one of the best things you can do to these. They handle pretty dam well an all

Sorry I have been really rubbish up dating the progress of the granny progress has been very slow, the first job was to sort out the noisy starter motor with a new recon unit and with a new battery starts first time now. Have also fitted a new center section exhaust as the old one was de baffled and was to noisy, I have also cleaned and fed the dry leather seats five times so the seats are nice and soft now. Will sort out some more pics over the next week

I have been really rubbish with this project, due being rubbish at writing project threds to moving two times and just not having the time or money to do anything with the car she was heading for the oval track, but I could just not let it happen so the slow resto has begun with the help of a very good friend mike who without his help I would have given up a long time ago. first job to do was the engine, It had no power and could just not get it to run right so had a look on ebay and found a second hand 2.8 v6 capri engine so one Saturday mike and his workmate dan and the use of there bosses garage started to removed the engine I turned up and me and mike fitted the new second had engine that had not been run for seven years. and after a few tense minutes trying to start her she fired in to life and runes lovely new engine Old engine before removal Me pretending to do some work and finished and some pics of the car in my ownership retro rides camping last year

I have also fixed the leaking oil pressure gauge and cleaned all the wires as they were covered in oil; while I was there I decided to move the radio for the dash back to the centre console looking a mess and radio in and what it should look like when back together

Always liked these. My old man had a 2.3L all through my youth, he had it about 12 Years. My choice would be a 24v cosworth lump and a manual box. Yours looks ace, just how I like them.
