Whilst listening to some NWA, as you do, I noticed the cover to the single, 'staight outta compton', has a lovely looking yank tank on the cover. What is it? Any more classic hip hop cars out there?

Dre kills a 64 impala in one of his videos, I think Jay Z kills a '66
Westwood has his '65 on the cover of one of his compilations (doing a front wheel burnout LOL)
There are loads of examples in videos and mentioned in lyrics too

The whole lowrider/rap/gang scene was massively intertwined at that time. It still is to some extent, but popular artists now seem to prefer slammed SUV's with big chrome wheels and are about as close to being hood as I am lol. Most rappers still seem to have a traditional low of some sort though. Dr Dre Snoop Deville

One of my favouritestest car songs of all time - even if you don't like this sort of music you have to appreciate the lyrics and Retro Rides ethos!

I know its not neccessarily the type of show most RRers would watch, but on MTV's ''Cribs'', a lot of the American celebrities (Music, sport, film and telly) have cars tucked away in their garage which would appeal to us. From mint restored muscle cars, to bouncing lowriders, they have the lot (which is probably how I'd live with their pile of money and big mansion set in acres of countryside). For example, Joss Stone had a pink Figaro: ''Slim Thug'' has this: Shaquille O Neal has this: Ray Buchanan's Mustang:

Shaquille O Neal has this: I was watching Custom My Ride the other day when they were building a new Cadillac for Shaq ('The Shaqillac'!) - when he turned up to collect, he had a wander round their showroom, whacked his credit card out and said 'yeah, I'll take that one, I'll take that one, you can build me one of these, I'll take that one...' - flash git.
