Its what Heidi does
not only Vinyl cutting but full on printing onto anything, including wrapping vinyl

So when you get the info, send it over with some sizes etc and well work some stuff up ?

So RRG15 has been and gone, and the "wouldn't it be nice if it was finished for" deadline with it! In some ways it's not all bad, because without a heater, it's a bit hard to see where you're going in this when it's wet! A solution is on the to do list....

Anyway, there has, amazingly been some progress. It's been a very busy summer, and while I have a fair few good excuses, I am now determined to get his painted for the end of the year, especially since a plan to actually put it to competitive use is forming - more on that later.

Also it is exactly 5yrs since I killed the Escort at RRG10, so it's about flipping time I finished it's replacement!

In terms of progress, well the shell is cleaned down, and just about ready for some high build primer - to support this I've built myself a makeshift spray booth - et voila!



If you've never had some of the plastic sheet on a roll that spreads out to 4m wide, I advise you get some, it is so damn useful for all sorts of car and DIY jobs.

So plan is to true get a few coats on in evenings in the next couple of weeks, ending up with a car ready for rebuild and decals by the end of Sept.

Which will just leave me to plan what to do with it.

Track days have always been on the cards, but I've now been convinced some hillclimbing is a good way to go for a bit competition use. To run in the class I want, Historic Saloons, I'll need to do a National B championship for 6 events, at which point I'll get an A licence and be ready for the historic.

Here's the championship www.classichillclimb.com/ they have a great range of cars, and it's growing all the time - really looking forward to it.

But one big change will be needed for the classic class - an original type block. In other words, bye bye Zetec.

With the Capri I have plenty of choice though, everything from a 1300 xflow to a 302 V8. Plan to build something next winter (and paint the engine bay while I'm at it), and while I don't have a motor yet, lets just say there's a set of tripple Weber IDF carbs sat in a box in the other room

Front floor pans painted in high impact paint (gives a sort of anti slip finish, plus covers up the welds a bit!)

Interior now just needs a final clean (tonight) then some primer (tomorrow).......

Cheers, couple of bits that I'm going to tidy a little before a final coat but it's pretty good for an interior.

A friend of mine has a rally prepped Sierra that's white on the inside. Surprisingly, it makes it a much nicer place to be amidst all the safety gear and you can find things when you drop them.

That was part of the thinking, that and it'll make it cooler in the sun - it's like a greenhouse with the fixed windows!

Local paint supplier has come up trumps with a paint match ;D



Progress is steady, should have inside of doors done tonight, and the bonnet is primed - but needs a lot more sanding!

Really does feel like all I've been doing is sanding down!

Body is nearly there, but put loads of filler primer on and still finding high points.



But it is getting there.

On the bright side, have a sneak peak of the bonnet



Needs a fair bit of polishing, but I'm pretty chuffed with the overall look of the panels so far

Yes! Awesome! Can't say I've ever gotten that excited by just a painted bonnet but that is bloody exciting. Cannot wait to see the whole thing now.
