...Any ideas what running gear is underneath it? I guess by the clap doors at the back (side doors off a spltty?) it's mid engined?... According to the build thread, it was a Mitsubishi turbo lump, but is now running a VR6 turbo, no mention of how the VR6 is driving the wheels, it'd be interesting if he's managed to hook it up to a RWD box.

I think, technically, it's a rear engined still because the engine box didn't come that far forward of the rear axle. I'm pretty sure it's still RWD too, which is quite an achievement. Labour of love doesn't even begin to describe it.

WOAH!!! I was saying at The Gathering to someone (or many people!?) that it was a shame that the VW scene didn't build stuff as bonkers and out there as the old Thump Thump cars any more... this is Bang On! for me. Awesome work. If anyone knows the owner, tell them I love them. I'm doing my best with the time I have but the VW scene is what it is, a VW scene anything out of the box is not normally excepted unless it's done by one of the regulars or a company that dubbers can suck up to. That bus totally mental. Saw it at Action Weekend last year and I could put some more pics of it up but I'm not as people should be reading the build thread and taking note that there is still scope within the VW scene

I hear you with the VW scene there, just as well there's a few of us who just want to have fun making something for ourselves rather than hunting out the popular vote.

very true, at worst you get ignored and at best you make other dubber jealous. Unlike in some other scenes where you get abuse. Likewise, you keep having fun too, I like reading your updates when you have.

I'm not convinced about the flowers (don't like flowers on anything), but other than that it's perfect.

Like yours to buddy as I never know what to expect except it will be pretty original on a Polo which I likes, the very reason I love that bus and when I first saw it I had to walk around it several times and then go back to it several more Incidentally I have another B3 Passat I use as a daily driver and all Ive ever done to it is to fix a few things, change the headlining as I need another one for the van and fit a baby seat and on one of the Passat forums this car has had more attention by a page and it's not been on there so long, I find it funny. ;D

It did appear for sale recently so I hope that just means it's having a rest before reappearing again.
