I'm not surprised youve your pants on your head - sounds like a nightmare of the weekend.
That said, I'm massively enjoying your thread.
And I though I'd had an annoying time with my car lately...

Actually, while I'm here, I'll finish what we'll call : Day 1 So we're in a layby on the A-wibblywobblywoo, call brother who rather legendarilyily comes out with tools.... and we decide to go back to his place and make a new plan Here's the plan. We leave the Disco and it's mega exciting contents there, take his old car, Saab 9something, home as it's still all legal (did I mention it was for sale?). So there, good plan, we go home in that then come back when we can to recover the Disco instead of speculatively changing the waterpump or whatever on the roadside and hoping. Bingo Did I mention it's for sale? It has a turbot-charger (for electric fish?) and you don't need to change gear and it has leather and hair conditionering? Anyhoo, this gets us to the end of Saturday when I got in, rather distressed, at midnight, without my Discovery, without my super-mudplugging, soilslinging tyres and without any of my nerves. I left home at 2pm and all I had to show for the previous 10 hours was a second hand Saab in a curious colour. Oh, I slept on Thursday night but not for the previous 4 days and not since.

Hook Tesco is the single worst supermarket I have ever been in. The petrol stations however were up and over the railway bridge, then right at the mini roundabout. ;D I'm quite local.

Epic thread, this is perfect Monday morning LOL reading. Awesome pics....you need to do a monthly cartoon strip for a magazine. I'd subscribe just to read that alone!
Sorry to hear your bad luck (so far) but it's such a brilliant read. Can't wait for the next installment. ;D

Roadtrips are cool, especially if things go to plan. I've recently completed a trip to Edinburgh which resulted in driving 440 miles home in a 25-year old, 900cc, 4-speed car that will only do 60mph tops.
Luckily hassle-free.
Condolences on your 'issues'.
