Yep, they really do stiffen things up, and only about £15-£20 a pair.
Sadly though they do raise the car a bit too.....
Hope I'll get away with a fully loaded boot for the gathering trip!

Back home, now with T&T, and given a bloody good clean after finding the usual filth that garages leave on cars...

i love what you've done with the wheel centres, might have to do that too with my car.... The Chrysler logo looks quite good there

I used Simon for my MR2's straight through a few years ago. Tremendously reasonable (C&C wanted 4 times as much), accommodating and professional chap. Couldn't recommend him enough, god choice!

Nice looking Talbot/ Chrysler there mate.

I´ve skimmed the thread through, but did not catch any history data. Poissy, Ryton, or even from Uusikaupunki factory? Can´t be from Spain Spanish can´t build cars, right (Just kiddin´).

These Talbots were very popular here in the eighties and early nineties. Economic things drove people to drive cheap reliable cars then.
Solara also was popular (and still we drive the oldest cars in the EU, thanks to economic situation and our incompetent politicians).

Can´t recall if both these models use Saab 90/900 seats. Or, was it just Solara. Might be that this was local factory thing. What came out from Uusikaupunki factory had these Saab seats, as the Saab was also made at same factory.

Now, what this beauty needs is a Lotus 2.2. Slant Four engine with a ZF tranny

If it gets a conversion, my thoughts are with a 306 GTi 6 drivetrain fuelled by some huge trumpeted DCOEs.
Allegedly quite closely related too, but I can never find anyone to confirm or deny the Pug 205/309/306 engine compatibility ideas....

Never looked into where it was built, but being RHD and living in London all its life I would assume Ryton.

Were you in Milton Keynes today by any chance? I was waiting pull out on North Thirteenth Street onto Silbury Avenure this afternoon and saw you heading my way towards Campbell Park which is after the end of the main shipping area. I recognised the car, as it is such a good shiny example, and immediately thought it would be yours.
