MX5's on banded steels you say, well heres my old one on the rims that then went to bruce for dirtbag and now sit waiting to go on the Bruces original MX Before banding After 14x8's and 14x9's built by the mighty JamesP The OEM steels are hard to find, but a set on Mini1 15's would look good banded They are heavy mind, but I never noticed any difference in the way it handeled

Banded steels, painted old English white on my brg mx5, has much win potential.

Omg what happened? Reminds me of that Peugeot ad where the elephant sits on the car!
Sooooo could any 'shop gurus help out and shop a set of slotmags onto a mk1 mx5, so we can see exactly how much win it has?
Pretty please?

This would have to come just after I've been offered a '92 import MX5 for much cheapness wouldn't it! Gah, I wasn't going to but now I don't know what to think!

I have these same wheels on my MK2 MX5, they came with the car, but I have no idea what they are. What are these called? who makes them? If anyone knows it'd be greatly appreciated! Quite like them but they're a bit rough looking so have been weighing up refurbing them vs. getting something else,.

Thoroughly recommend them. Owned 2 mk1's so far, and the first one we kept for 3 years. Reckon you'd need some patience with a 2 seater and it was your daily, but for a weekend toy they are fantastic, and stupidly cheap to boot. Buy one while they are still at their least desirable over the winter months.

Here's a pic alongside a Suzuki Cappucino
