I apologise profusely for not starting the coolest thread ever. However... Local chap has an 'owned from new' Sierra Estate. Its a nice looking car, local plate, well cared for, etc etc. Its got about 10 days MOT and tax til the end of the month. It looks very tidy, was welded for the last MOT and has done circa 800 miles since. They want £395, which to me seems cheap enough to not lose, even if it is a bit crusty. Is that good? Bad? Average? as penance, I bring you a selection of Sierras.

£395 is good value i think, could get a bit off to. Would make a nice daily or you could clean it up a bit and make a bit of a profit?

OK so you might get one somewhere for £100 but this is on the doorstep and sounds like a cared for car. Personally I'd be willing to pay the extra although............
Anyone who prices a car at £395 is advertising that he wants to haggle ;D
Go round with some cash and try a little bit off. If you get down to £300 I'd call it a bargain.

My gt was £400 needing a lil work but essentially pretty much solid. £395 is pretty good if it's quite clean though.

£395 for a slighty grotty Sierra (regardless of shape or engine) with test and a little tax is a bargain IMO, expect the rot to be worse than it looks.

Sierra - here we go again! He has an illness, it's not his fault.

When I was looking at maybe getting one the ones worth having seemed to be £750 and the other end of the country.

Sounds ok to me. Estates command a premium anyway as their pretty rare now and actually still a totally useable practical classic, their pretty huge inside. Yes,someone will always get one cheaper than you, always know for a better bargain but at the end of the day if it works for you then go for it,if it's only done 800 miles since the last ticket then I'm sure all is gonna be fine.

Here we go! Picked it up yesterday. Owned from new by an old boy, still has the local dealer plates on it,and its got the local SPA suffix bit. Its amazingly tidy. So far the downsides are: Likely to need a small patch at the rear of the drivers sill for its next ticket. both wing mirrors have sagged slightly. Positives? Leccy windows and alloys with barely a mark on them. Seriously, 5 day old cars out there driven by women have probably got more kerb marks. Every MOT from new. Engine is quiet as anything, goes in and out of all the gears fine. Expensive CD player fitted. Just had a new radiator fitted. 4 x new matching Hankook tyres recently fitted. Its a bargain. Going to probably put it in for a test tomorrow, as its almost out, and see what they reckon. Pics:
