1949 DODGE B2B hearse !!!!!!!

hi again guys , i thought id put up a few pictures of our long term project that we accquired a few years back , it was in a shed for over twenty years with a siezed engine , the history that we can gather on it is that it was imported from the states in 1951 as a pick up , it was then converted to right hand drive and made into a hearse , it runs a flat six petrol engine with three speed manual box , so far we havent managed to get it running but we did free out the engine , gonna need a bit more work before she fires up but we are getting there . here are a few pics to whet your whistle's ..........

I wonder who the coachbuilder was, it hints at some of the Austins of the same era I've seen, but I don't know the builders well enough to take a stab at who it might be.

Very odd marriage of English and American styling, but I like it for it.

hi all only just getting back to this now and sadly we are going to have to sell the hearse , too many projects and lack of space and funding are forcing our hand I'm afraid , ah sure you cant keep them all !!!! we managed to free out the engine but didnt do much with it since to be honest , it shouldnt take much to actually get it running , pm me if your interested .

hi all , sadly due to lack of space and funds we have reluctantly decided to sell the dodge hearse ,
its a 49' dodge b2b flat 6 petrol engine with a three speed gearbox ,
the engine was dry seized when we got it but we managed to free it out but haven't got around to getting it actually running ( shouldn't take much as there is good compression and everything is present )

it would be a very interesting project for someone whether they decide to restore it back to a hears or make it back into a pick up is up to them ,
it is right hand drive and has all the paperwork present , it is currently declared off the road , we are open to any reasonable offer's ( but no daft ones ! )
we are not trying to rob anyone so anything within reason will be considered ,
