Just wondering how you lot would value this,I have put it on the imp club but I can't get a value on it because they all just keep telling me not to sell, not saying its defo for sale but maybe in the near future... All the bits are there to put it back on the road too.

Very tidy. Does it have a V5? What year is it?

Nice. I had a 65 Chamois a few years ago - last of four Imps. Sold everyhing bar the workshop and parts manuals and the tuning books. Tough to put a value on the shell, but I'd have thought you should get £12-1500 assuming it's all good - which is probably a fraction of what it cost you to get it to that standard.

Crikey, I've NEVER seen a shell so clean. If you you did want to sell it to me for £500 'tho, I couldn't promise it would end up with an 875cc in it...!!!

If you'd have painted it Forest Green with a white stripe, I'd have been very keen to have separated you from it to recreate my last Chamois (FYO 609C). I was planning a 930 (bought one of the last NOS short engines from Grimes for £130 back in the day) under a late sport head. Happy days - the project in the garage is nearly done, really have no idea what to do next. Keep looking at 30's British tin and building a hot rod...then retro sports kit cars (Sammio Spyder) but having just spent 20 mins looking at in car racing videos on you tube looking at that link you put in above, who knows....

I'm no expert Neil but I wouldn't take less than 1250 if it were mine. I think its worth 1500 or even a bit more judging by the prices of complete wibblepoo selling on eBay etc.
Baz - you could have bought my rust free shell a couple of months back for £50 !

To be honest I was hoping it was worth a bit more with all the bits to put it back together,I am thinking of turning it into a semi competition car that I can do hillclimbs, road rallies and classic trials in but that will probably change again in the future!

if its coming with all the bits then you'll be expecting more. I was going by just the shell on its own.
I have just done mine new inner and outer sills, inner and outer arches fully repaired new rear corners new front panel etc. You know how much the panels are alone never mind the fitting and painting. MEGA BUCKS ! However if the free tax continues for the next 20 years that will pay for it alone lol

Gurnersimp, I'm hoping my VR6 mid-engined Sunbeam Sport conversion actually works... Three times more torque than a bike engine, and a sound nearest to a V6 Dino that my wallet can afford!
