Thanks i think it looks better to just need to tidy up the body work a little bit! and it was an easy mistake to make looking back i should of maybe researched the job a bit more because now i have a very unhappy mum and a few irate neighbours

Have you still got your old springs kicking around? I raised the front of my 205 from this: To this: I used brand new KYB's from eBay, but have a horrible feeling they were for a heavier diesel lump, as my car seems to have adopted an 'butt down / nose up stance'... I'd like to try a known set of 205 springs, to see if it's any better...

nice work dude. Love non-gti 205s. Yeah i like them to I'm a big fan of the xs in particular and I'm hoping to try and source a camshaft and carb from an xs for mine. There, I fixed for you Cheers for the Photoshop I do like those wheels but I'm on the look out for a set of alley cats, 205 gti alloys or potentially having some steelies banded. Oh man i got rid off them yesterday but the main reason i did this was that they were quite badly corroded they were an advisory on the MOT. As for the nose up stance mine was like that as standard that's why now you can see the back isn't that much higher than the front.

For what it's worth, my car was faaaar better to drive with the chopped springs on the front...But living where I do in London, there's so many speed bumps that I was continually smashing the downpipe clamp off them - No choice but to unhit it with 'that' stick... Apologies for the thread drift - Top work!

It has to be banded steels all the way mate, that would finish the pug off nicely IMO

Apologies for the thread drift - Top work! I live in the middle of the Sussex country side and some of the back roads here are awful and i always have the feeling I'm gonna do some damage to the freshly resprayed GTi front valance!! And don't worry about the thread drift always good to see other non GTI's in use! It has to be banded steels all the way mate, that would finish the pug off nicely IMO Yeah banded steels have always been my first choice its just a question of having the funds and finding some wheels to use while my wheels are being banded or finding some steelies to be sent away for banding. Do you know if jamesP on here still does them?

Just stumbled across this thread again Dale, must say the projects come on nicely since I last read.
That GTi spolier sets it off nicely, and looks like a top job you did on the lowering as well. It does look cool in hearing-aid beige. Fact.
Liking that "4 doors" sticker as well LOL. aside from a temp gauge and central locking, four doors are the only other thing I wish my 205 had. Must bait up a piccy of my sicker-plastered bootlid at some point.....
Anyway keep up the good work man, 205's are very much the way forward!
