heat shield made, gauges rewired where ness,o2 sender wiring connected and just needs two wires connecting to the aux fuse box. all nuts and bolts double checked, all tools removed from around the endine bay, temp sender rewired, all plugs and leads double checked, all pipes double checked and the cars back on the floor.just a quick oil level check and she'll be ready to fire up again. would be great if everything works, sick of playing cars, just want to be driving it...............................

just sat and read this whole thread since about 6.30am this morning truly inspiring' i have just purchased a similar draw thru stup my self which I'm considering fitting to my hunter, although i still need to do some more research on the subject it does look relatively simple to setup compared to blow thru no doubt i will be dropping you a pm or 2 in the near future if i get stuck, cool granny tho

thanks, the fitting wasnt a problem to be honest ,its all the "other" bits that make teh job poxy. i had bits missing so had to work out what should be there and where to get the ness parts or similar ones from. the su is dead simple and you can find tutorials on youtube about how they work etc if your unsure like i was. the turbo will want oil but i ran a t piece off my oil pressure gauge feed on the block, that gives plenty of oil. i had to swap the fuel pump on my car as the turbo manifold was in the way of the old mechanical one. ive got a facet cube type at the rear of the car and a 1-6 psi adjustable fuel pressure regulator under the bonnet . mines sitting at 3psi which is the most an su carb should have (apparently). so once the oil feed and the fuel feed is ok theres not much. you cant run an intercooler or even a charge cooler though as you'll end up with pools of fuel sat in it. once I'm all up and good i may well look into water injection for he car though as ive been told thats what saab used to do. the guy i bought the turbo bits from said it was a low pressure set up and i as i havent fired it up with the new wastegate i cant comment on anything just yet. the guy in the dyno place reconed 150 bhp was around what he'd expect but I'm not actually that bothered, just reliable nippy motoring for the next few years will be fine and as long as i can pull my 80's caravan it'll all be good. i found very little info on the web regarding these set ups so good luck with any www searching. turbo technics were the only refurb place that said they would touch the rotamaster turbo but they're not cheap so be warned. check as many of the parts as possible,i didnt as i wouldnt know what to look for,ive just jumped in and kept at it changing bits for other bits until it all looked right. i had to swap the wastegate fpor a new type one but after many designs and plans i found what seems like a very simple way. on the up side,if at a later date you want more power, theres nothing to stop you taking teh su off, running through an intercooler and then blowing through a modified carb. you could even just box a normal carb so its all pressurised but i swerved that idea. ive been told i can blow through a 390 holley with a few mods and then have serious fun but at the moment I'm still wet behind the ears with regards to all this. loking forward to seeing how your conversion goes mate

lol" in ya shed engineering",its the best kind there is so how much of the kit have you got now then? i finished mine yesterday evening,or at least i think i have anyway. just the washer squirter to look at and i think I'm ready for the mot. ive been looking for a micro dynamics ems 6 ignition retarder and run into every wall there is. aparently they became obsolete four years ago. what i have found though is the next best thing, its an "amethyst" system. they're £180 on ebay so ive gotta save for that but once ive got it,i can set it all up to suit the car. its also got an ilnlet for the turbo feed so it can detect boost which is exactly what i......and poissibly you will need. ive been told i can just back the timing off a bit but the amethyst is reusable so its good for whatever car life moves your way in the future too and can only be a good move

It'd be nice to see some pics of the car itself soon rather than just close up oily bits..... Did you get new wheels for it in the end? (Apologies if I've missed the answer to that!)
