There's a couple of Ranchos for sale in the current issue of SIMCA Club UK's magazine. One is a one owner from new car and is in pretty good, original condition for £1500 and the other is taxed & Mot'd,is sound structurally and has had a Ford XR2i engine & gearbox transplant. He's looking for around £1200 for that. PM me for more info and pictures.. Mick

Yes, It's been advertised for quite some time. He wants to sell it to concentrate on his MATRA murenas. He's had a number of enquiries but is waiting for some of them to actually turn up and view it. Pity because it looks solid to me... I know what to look for as I own what the Rancho was based on... a SIMCA 1100 pickup..!! Mick

God, I wish I had the money. Ranchos were my childhood favourite car - I have a couple of toy ones still.

Looks ace! As mentioned before, very ahead of their time as it looks a bit like a scaled down Land Rover Defender...
I like it!

If you lend me your ear for a tick, When I was a small lad, I saw one of these around east London it was mustard with black and Orange strips (very 70's) always remembered it and tryed to find out what it was for ages, discribing it to people nobody knew, than I saw it on 'Minder' and took a screen shot and only recently discovered what it was! I doubt I would ever own one but boy I wish I could. So enjoy it for us bud!

I've just heard that the one owner Rancho is now sold.... the Ford powered one is still up for grabs I believe.

I recently met a local fellow enthusiast with a very large collection of youngtimers and classic cars. He was keen to see the Rancho since he knew this particular car from decades back. I had already been thinking to sell it and look for something else maybe next year, but we actually came to shake hands yesterday! The deal included an exchange of cars, more about that lateri in a separate thread
