Last year a bunch of us brought our home-brewed wares to the gathering. I understand a number of 'Riders might have got a little drunk, but I don't remember particularly clearly So, who is bringing something this year? I ought to get a couple of gallons of cider going or I'm going to run out of time. See the homebrew thread in Readers Other Modifications for more details retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=othrmod&action=display&thread=103925Jonny's homebrew Exhibit AIt was like drinking Nitroglycerine. I was imagining the campsite had some kind of time/space interface running across it, and I was stumbling incoherently from one parallel universe to another, in search of the way back. Except that I wouldn't have been able to actually spell any of that on Facebook. ;D

If I have to clean up someones sick from the toilets on Sunday morning again this year there will be retribution. It's the nasty mass produced chemically stuff everyone else is drinking, not the natural loveliness from my demijohns Elderflower stuff has been on for a 2 or 3 weeks ;D

Does Skittle vodka count? Yes, as does Werther's original vodka which I'll be bringing. I was hoping to be in the home brew bussiness myself this year, after sampling Ben and Colons brew last year. But with me being on holiday for 2 weeks before the gathering it's looking unlikely.

Jonny's cider was so potent, it could also be used as a rust eater ;D

I will have trouble bringing over a home brew selection from nz but I am certainly more than happy to give some taste tests to whatever is brought along to RRG.

Argh, crisis! I was supposed to get my ciders on weekend a week ago, but my damn yeast still hasn't turned up! This basically means it won't be ready in time Looks like it might have to get sophisticated at Camp J69 with some well aged limoncello over ice, and a home-made CO2 fizzer to make alcoholic lemonade.

Bums. That would be cutting it a bit fine.. It'd be fermented out but you'd have people pulling wonderful faces at how 'raw' it is ;D My 'oh-my-god-the-gathering-is-but-weeks-away' cider is just about ready to bottle. I've also this week bottled up an elderflower 'champagne' which tasted pretty good straight out of the FV. If it does well in the next month I'll bring you a bottle, Jonny

Cheers!
Rightyo, got two ciders on last night, figuring they usually take about 4 weeks start to finish, I should *just* get them done in time. If not, I've got a red grape wine that I'm going to spice up a bit and a couple of bottles of limoncello. I need to sort out the ghetto fizzer with a CO2 bike pump, a Coke bottle and a tyre valve. I could also do a couple of bottles of lightly alcoholised root beer, which only takes a couple of days but we risk explosion and yeast ;D

Well it's looking good. I had a sup over the weekend and it tastes like it's almost brewed out already! I'm topped up to the top now, which usually takes a bit longer, so it's looking really promising

Excellent, Well we have lemon gin, I think Michelle has got on the ginger beer already, and we also have some elderflower champagne going too, but I am unsure on how that one will go
