stoked to see my old transit up there... here is a more recent picture.. (for the photo boffs, my 12yr old daughter took the picture. and I think its pretty good ) really must update the build thread as I've done loads since the last updating it....

That Mk2 is lovely. Assuming it's not the same one, I know of another similar one being put together as we speak. That particular Mk2 has been together for a few years in that guise, so likely not the same one.... Few nice vans go to Billing Aquadrome in August for the Transitmania show, worth a look if it's not waterlogged o' course....

some nice looking trannies here how do you get around the 8 ply tyres? In my experience people just ignore the issue, but my ol' man got nicked for having car tyres on his Bedford Rascal. You can get vans and trucks down plated for carrying capacity so that's one option, but maybe you can get higher rated tyres in nicer sizes these days, I see plenty of 3 ton Range Rovers and Discoveries on low profile tyres so they must be available?

Yeah, you can get the majority of tyres in extra load ratings these day, especially 16" plus.

This thread makes me really really want a transit. The shape of the newer ones seem to really lend themselves to being on the deck.

The transit in the original post is owned by a mate of mine! Used to be on Bentley wheels. He also owns a fiesta thans been in various mags aswell. All payed for with the late great Colin McRaes money!

Love the first newer style transit, right up my street!
I'm pretty sure the imperial blue N reg Transit Jowey put up is cossie powered I remember seeing at the RS owners day back in 97/98 at Donington Park with the bonnet up.
