I've been a lurker on here for ages. Lived in London for years without a car since selling my mk2 gti. Then bought another in October. It's a clean 91 shell with approx 150k which has had an engine transplant from a G60 Corrado. Rebuilt bottom end. Bored out to a 1.9 with a stage 4 charger and 68mm pulley. Running DTA management. After a rocky start in our relationship, I'm now falling in love again. Looking forward to summer.  screenshot windows 7 |

My daily 1.3 4 speed base model. ... Nice wheels, what tyres do you drive? How is it without power steering?  195/45s, wheels are going soon, well they're up for sale. Funding for the engine change, plus they aren't wide enough for me. Lack of power steering is fine, used to cars without it now  |

I must admit after having 2 mk1 gti's back in the day I always thought of the mk2 as the ugly sister. This thread has completely changed my mind! |
