Was a very quite meet this month, most of the usual bunch but this particular car stuck out for me (not seen it before) and it parked in a perfect position lighting wise, so it's only a few photos this month unfortunately

Now it's colder and darker I reckon it'll slow down a bit until the weather improves. Next meet is 2nd December, I hope I make that one.

Thank you for the pics of that Escort, would've been disappointed to miss out on that otherwise.

Was a small meet tonight, but some top quality stuff braved the last meet of the year. Unfortunately, no photographs from me as both my cameras are knackered when it comes to night time pictures and the attempts I did make are utterly illegible.

Thanks to all who made the effort.


Now for a question for you all as it's been suggested and discussed at various times over the past few years before we moved to Meadow Farm: Should we change the night the meet happens?

For ages, the meet has happened on a Monday, presumably to avoid clashes with shows and to make it easy for people to turn up after work. However, quite a few people have suggested a Friday-evening or Sunday-daytime meet would be better and would be easier for them to get to given their work obligations.

I'd like to hear your opinions on the matter whether to leave things as they are or to change.


In the meantime, the next meet is provisionally on Monday the 6th of January 2014.

I vote Sunday meets, easier as no-where is open after 5pm anyway

A Sunday daytime meet would be good during the winter months

I do like the evening meets in the Summer, especially in the relaxed atmosphere of a pub carpark (much nicer that Meadowhell Retail Park), but agreed, Winter months could maybe do with a bit of a shake up, not least as it's near impossible to get any good photos

Monday works for me and given the numbers in the summer months for loads of others to. no matter what night it's held on during the winter numbers will always be down, quite a few who attend will have sorn their cars by now and wont come out to play till the april meet. at least with the meet now held at meadow farm you can always nip inside when it gets too cold or it's raining.

if things are working then don't try and fix it.

The West Yorkshire meet used to be held on a sunday

It was a good meet for a few years , then numbers started to dwindle

Me and edd (white orion ghia) come along to the meets from Grimsby. We both would prefared if the meet stayed on the Monday evening. Sundays like someone said earlier are often taken up by shows and Sunday dinners.

I think it looks like we'll leave things as they are, Monday seems to work for most so since it isn't broke, we shan't fix it.

I was going to be there to show off the new wheels in person, but I'm not feeling well enough to drive, certainly not on the motorway at any rate, which is annoying as I was looking forward to this meet as I usually do. There's supposed to be three others who are attending - 2 Mk1 Golfs and a Montego or SAAB - and people may just be late tonight given it's the first one of the year and the first day back at work for a lot of people.
