fit complete clocks in and cut the plug off the doner car , then most of the wires are colour for colour, I did mine just before I sold it,. And I swapped them back as I wanted the retro clock ! But yes, colour for colour- I think there were two wires the same colour and you have to get them the right way round. Disconnect the speedo drive from the gearbox end and take the steering wheel off to make it nice and easy ;-). I love this thread btw. Two superb Escorts. So do you want to sell the clocks and the wiring plugs you have taken out? I have a spare digital roof clock here I wonder if the wiring is in the headliner for it?

I'm going to keep the clocks with the rev counter as they'll come in handy if I ever put a zetec in mine. I don't have any of the plugs anyway- I just used bullet connectors to join all the wires. Just put -40 springs on mine as I ripped the exhaust off on a speedbump.

No problem. I have sold the car now so no longer needed. New owner is on here though.

It was in those pictures but the next owner put 40mm springs on so I suspect if you have seen the recent ebay add it is probably still 40mm drop now.

60mm for looks 40mm for regular use it just depends what suits your needs. Mine had gmax front shocks and just some new rs turbo rears and it gave a firm ride with the 60mm springs and I had to stop to negotiate speed humps.

its gonna have to be 40mm i think then. Its going to be a cheap yet old school cool daily so need to be able to go places without worrying about exhaust, sump, life and death if you know what i mean haha i will buy a full kit if i can as springs on unknown condition shocks will end in tears lol i'll keep the impractical worrying about road condition for when i drive the cossie lol
