...see you at the pod then Hopefully see you there although the way things are going, it's looking less likely that I'll have the car sorted by then. It's going to be a tight schedule, but I'll certainly do my best. Bruce, write a book! Top reading as always (moar Daimler updates please!). If you're ever up near Manchester, PM me and I'll pop the kettle on (and if Jed's with you, he's welcome to use the garden for toilet purposes). You make me want to move to Bristol, I've read so much about A52 and seen some crazy magic done there, it beggars belief. Many thanks for the comments. I'd certainly be happy to write a book, but it'd have no start, no finish and no real meaning. It'd just be pages of random drivel that no one would really want to read, or could make any sense from. Thanks for the offer, if I am ever up that way I'll let you know, and likewise, if you're down near Bristol, do pop in for a cuppa at the unit. I see a mention of a 626? Is there a build thread/pics of that anywhere? I might apply to be bruce's pa. I could sit at a desk outside his front door with a beige computer and a headset desk telephone, wear too much makeup and he could have a brass plaque on it with his name on. ;D lols. No build thread, there has been nothing 'built' on it, its completely stock. Daily fodder Yeah, as Rich has said, it's a totally standard plain Jane wafty bargy gold estate load lugger. I love it for what it is, super comfortable and stupendously reliable, as well as being an awesome mile muncher and amazingly tidy (not surprising for a car that's done 26K miles!) It's so standard I haven't even taken a photo of it yet. I did think of lowering it and fitting some massive softline 3 spokes (and the photoshop gave an indication that it would look flipping awesome) but I decided to be sensible and just keep it 'as is' - a decision I'm glad I made to be honest. Rich, I think you should do that. I'll get the desk and computer, Zoe can sort you out a nice fitted womens jacket/skirt combo and I'll even make you a lovely 'toblerone' name badge thing for your desk, "Rich Moneypenny".

What's the salary? If its more than a bag of worther's a month then I'm on my way in the frumpiest trouser suit I can find. ;D

Please make sure you have one of those enormous intercoms for announcing visitors, where you have to press a button the size of a large pedal.

Thanks Dave! I will probably be selling it late June/early July if you are genuinely interested? Once I've got the engine conversion done, all the new parts fitted and everything is running right and proven to be in good order/reliable then I'll probably be moving it on to make space and raise the finances for the other projects. If you are interested, PM me and we can go through details etc Hijacking aside......lol.... I am currently stroking the lottery ticket in my left hand as I type this with my right.....and I have repetitive strain injury from saluting magpies in the vain hope a perfect sum to buy me a certain epicscortâ„¢!!! Having just moved house cash flow is somewhat more stagnant but we live in eternal hope!!! I have the astra to mot and move on, an almera to shift and a small escort/connect van to acquire before I even think of a toy Maybe I'll get down Brizzleshire before some lucky *insert expletive here* buys her!!!

I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!

I was thinking about this car the other day so I thought I'd do a bit of a naughty thread drag...!!!
Is this car still in the ownership of its talented and imaginative creator...?!
Are there any plans to do other 'things' to this cracker in the future...?!
Sorry to drag this thread back up but this car really is a genius bit of kit and I'd love to know where it is dwelling at the moment...

I think Bruce still owns it. I shall have to see this car in the flesh one of the days with the touches it has present to it .

Once again, love this wagon! Lovely details. Interior looks a bloody lovely place to be. Weirdly I also looked to the Renault 5 for interiors for my mk3 Escort, specifically the Monaco. I was deliberating over taking the full leather interior like yours from a Monaco at the scrapyard a while back, but in the end I decided to just use the steering wheel as I had some other seats in mind. Almost bolts straight onto the RS turbo boss!
