God awful! Poor old Ferry would turn in his grave if he saw this carbuncle! Post something you do like then. not for me I don't like the way the front wheels sit Post something you do like then. Surely with the track being so narrow at the front it would drive badly? What's the point? Post something you do like then. narrow front track is a porker thing anyway, rear ends always a lot wider than the front. I like the work gone into make it function, but dislike the look it has achieved, if that work was done with a view to improve traction and performance it'd be so much better. Post something you do like then. (not as negative as the others I've quoted, but does EVERY Porsche to roll out of Stuttgart be focused at going round corners quickly?) Its a 912 and its horrible. the front axle is shocking. Not my thing at all. Post something you do like then. ETC. Anyone else want to be a Negative Nelly? Save your time and post something that tickles your fancy instead.

How I'd love to drive a car that everyone thinks is aburdly pointless. It'd be like being a teenager and making your father angry, one of life's little everyday pleasures. I could live with this one as well:

God awful! Poor old Ferry would turn in his grave if he saw this carbuncle! What would you prefer to look at? Post some examples. I have to be honest I know that I shouldn't but I do really like that just as it is. I am guessing it wasn't the best example of a 911 at the start of the project so it is good to see a rescued old car. & GarryMagnus Walker and Singer 911s are more my cup of tea. I'm not into anything that is scene for scenes sake or modified to the detriment of the performance which in this case it clearly is.

Will you all get over yourselves? It's a car, not a flag burning; not worth wringing your hands over. Don't like it? Click the back button and look at something else. Gah. Personally I don't like it, but then I didn't comment. See how that works? Here's another 911 that might be more to your taste:

I think the problem with forums is that sometimes phrasing and tone of our beautiful language is often lost. My comment about Ferry turning in his grave was meant to be in jest but clearly was misunderstood!

Forced patina? Narrowed beam? On a Porsche? Will you all get over yourselves? It's a car, not a flag burning. Couldn't have put it better. I come on here to get away from people who get all indignant over other people's cars. Besides, the thing was a wreck when he found it!

I like it when people don't think " outside the box" they just cut the box up and do something because they can . Don't trend innovate

I really like this car, I think it'd be a touch easier on the eye with a slightly wider front track, still narrowed, but just a little less so. I think the Patina looks great, I think the 911 shape's done justice and I think the ride height looks awesome. The trouble with getting worked up over the fact they've not done it's performance justice is that there's nothing interesting, innovative, new or exciting about making a Porsche go faster. It's been done a thousand times, and lets be honest, the best way to make this Porsche go faster would be to remove the features that make the Porsche 911 what it is. If you're going to complain about someone compromising a performance cars performance a Porsche 911's a pretty ironic place to start: Macphereson struts up front, trailing arm located swing axle out back, the engine in completely the wrong place, a windscreen so steep it'd look more at home on a bus and a side profile that resembles a wing, not the downforce kind, the 'lets take off' kind. They're not very good at being a performance car to start with. My point isn't 911's are curse word, it's that if you're a 911 fan, you MUST understand that performance isn't everything. People like 911's because they're Stunningly beautiful and full of soul and character. If you like them, you've already admitted that performance isn't everything, and that enjoyment of a car doesn't necessarily come from technical brilliance. In other words, if you dislike this car for compromising it's performance to achieve the looks and character that the owner wanted, then you probably shouldn't like 911's at all. If you like 911's but you don't like this car, your problem isn't that the owner's ruined a performance car, it's simply that your taste disagrees with his. Fair enough, taste varies, but don't try and tell your self it's because of performance reasons, or you wouldn't be interested in old Porches in the first place

Yeah but then, for someone who wants a car that stands out and prompts people to think and ask questions, the blue one works best It's a bit bolder than just a slammed gloss black 964 on BBS rims isn't it? Each to his own! Although if they were all mine I wouldn't mind much.

sounds like it was a right sh1tter when he took it on- basically a not massively desireable shell robbed on anything worth having (engine, 'box, interior, etc.) thats hes brought back to life with whatever was cheap/lying around, but without the antithesis on making it fast. kinda the anti-hotrod if you will. i approve.

I love the rideheight and how they achieved it by cutting and narrowing the frontsuspension . Radikal ! But i do think its a bit overnarrowed

Surely with the track being so narrow at the front it would drive badly? What's the point? Whilst on the narrowed front. Is there any reason for narrowing it that much or just for looks? And I would rotate the 'battery strap' and to balance, some nice pork:

I don't understand, I'm not big on aircooled stuff, why has the front been narrowed? if you going to go to the effort to fabricate a front end, which it seems the guy has done, why not fab something that fills the arches, i cant see any advantge, either from a handling, or asthetic point of view to explain the track, unless its an air coole scene thing, if it is I'm sorry, before anyone jumps down my throat! also sorry for my spelling, I'm on my phone, that is also the reason i cant post "something i like" But i do like many of the othere 911's pictures above!
