Just bought this Beauty off eBay... I've always wanted a SNATCH and this one seems a good all-round purchase to fill my Land Rover shaped hole selling my Safari left... This is a Sooper low mileage 110 SNATCH 3.5 V8 Carbs' N' All Manual Sardine can. 47,000Km from new can't have much wear on the engine or transmission! Lot's of cool features such as mesh window guards. Cannot wait to pick it up! eBay Pics Mmmmmm... Bullet-proof-ness... Watch This Space! Ben

Just Picked up this Beast... Couldn't have been two nicer guys to buy a car off... Anyway. It drives really well, Really quiet and warm, good on the steering and underneath is Rock Solid Still in the original paint... Ex SAS... Just needs a few little bits sorting out. Fueling up: At almost 5mpg It's the first of many Fuel stops...

I do like this
I had a l plate 110 sw special order on carbs with lpg fitted, it used the tank of petrol and the tank of lpg on my 275 mile commute to work all week ? did not have it long
I would love another just for the noise but my full size bronco did more to the gallon with a 302 in it

Today After finding a couple of spare minutes I decided to Militarise the SNATCH... This just meant putting all the Mesh-Gates back on, which bolt on surprisingly easily. Pics: [It was going Dark...] The Fleet: I'm thinking some louder exhaust for the V8 Burble? Watch This Space! Cheers Ben

5mpg? that is a tad scary! Awesome bit of kit though, what are the plans for it? Apart from using up the worlds remaining supply of fossil fuels

I was thinking possibly Side Exit Exhausts? The interior needs sprucing up a little, It's dark and dull, the Squaddie seats are just moulded plastic... The Last owner said he was only getting 5-9 mpg though when we set off the Landy was in Low Range? It's had £40 of Petrol and the fuel guage has not moved at all so I'm guessing there could be problems there too... Only time will Tell. To Do list: -Fix Map light -Fix fuel Guage -Fix Air Con switch -New Seats [Possibly] -Side Exit Exhausts [Possibly] -New Headlights [Not very bright]

The rear body on these are one compleat section made out of Kevlar. So you won't have to worry about the body work dropping off. Thy also about 4 tone when fully kited up, so 5 mpg when empty isn't to bad. ;D

She weighs in right now at: 3,140kg Scarily heavy... That'll be the extra 3mm plate welded over the entire chassis+Kevlar etc.. Extreme Strength Chassis... More to come...

Will be getting better pictures of it as soon as I have time [And Light] on my side... I had a look under it and the chassis is better than most 2009 plate Land Rovers I've seen. It's possibly the cleanest Land Rover chassis I've ever seen and that's saying quite something... It's silent in the cab when your going along due to how thick the glass and doors are... Quite a weird sensation... I think that there was something that looked odd about the door shuts that could be extra bracing... Pictures to follow

I have decided that although this is one cool as hell machine, It's probably not a great daily for a student... It'll probably end up getting sold or swapped for another Land Rover or Retro/Classic Car. But... In the meantime... Todays' Pictures:

I have always been confused by the name snatch vehicle. Does that mean that it is for getting people quickly out of a dangerous situation? Hence the protection and the usage of a V8 Rover engine? Whatever a mad vehicle!

Whatever a mad vehicle! I've wondered about this too ? 5mpg eh, my 460 Volvo Globetrotter fully freighted at 44 tones can do better than that I'll end up with a Lightweight Air Portable some day, had my eye on those for a while now.
