I think these C10 "squarebodies" are becoming the next big thing in the truck scene- as soon as a car/truck gets a nickname you know they're getting popular. Also we've reached saturation point on the early 50s trucks and they're no longer a cheap entry level yank motor. I think the custom paint on the white one shows every sign of being done right back in the 70s, rather than a modern re-creation.

Not 1005 on the cab back but it looked well done Ahhhhh I like that a lot more than I should. Front view is good, side view shows practicality in the extended cab and set back C pillar, using a rear panel with glass is clever too. I like that a lot.... oops, said it already Thanks for posting. craigrk should like it too.

Ohhhh, a Pickup thread! Let me take this chance to quickly post my not-retro pickup that I daily drive! Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi 4x4 by Bastien Bochmann, auf Flickr Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi 4x4 by Bastien Bochmann, auf Flickr Honestly, I've had all kinds of cars before - I've had compact cars like VW Golfs, I've had wagons (BMW E36 and E39), I've had sedans in various sizes (various BMWs, E36, E34, E30) and even luxury sedans (BMW 7-series E38 and Audi A8). All were good cars. But compared to daily driving my Ram each of them was utterly useless!!! A pickups honestly is an amazing daily driver. As a quad- or crew cab you get room for 4 (or 6 for that matter), and if you just happen to buy something unplanned that's too large to fit in a normal car? Doesn't matter, chuck it on the bed! Not to mention the towing capability of these things. Not to mention that the seating position is rather like an arm chair and incredibly comfy, even on long rides. I'm utterly in love. I can easily see just why pickups are the most popular vehicle in the US. Quoted the whole thing, I special ordered one in 2002 to my spec. Kept it till 2011, excellent trucks.
