You voted it as your magazine of the year, so you'll be pleased to know that the latest issue is in the shops! I wrote the Nova feature, which made my inner 17 year-old smile. Also, there's a kickass feature on a trio of Peugeot 309s in there - when's the last time you saw a 309 featured in a car mag?! And all of the stuff you can see on the cover there too. And more. Boom.

I like the mag, but don't think it has enough decent content to justify buying it. I go to my local WH Smiths and have a good read of the bits that insterest me instead! What a traveller!

I understand some people even contribute for free - now that's weird. I think all magazines these days struggle to come up with something fresh and something that hasn't already been seen on line. Having said that I can see the attraction of having a permanent reference to things in print - I have a loft full and an office full of magazines from the 60s through to the mid 90s and yes I do often refer to them. Personally I would like to see magazines survive but the fact is I think they have to find another way of doing that.

Meh. I can't be arsed to be drawn into yet another debate on the pros and cons of print media, but I would like to point out that you're wrong when you say 'Most stuff in it can be found for free on the internet', that just isn't true. Unique photography, unique writing, unique product.

Unfortunately it takes more than repackaging to make the same material attractive and fresh. Don't take it personally Mr dbizzle, having freelanced myself in the past, I'd really like to see magazines survive.

Love the mag. I will continue to buy it every month. It's still one of life's simple pleasures, feet up with a good car mag and a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. Flicking through Google just isn't the same for me. So I think it's important to support them.

Think a few features are shared amongst the Unity titles. Not the greatest practice but does lower the production costs, and hence makes the mag a profitable business. Which of course at the end of the day, it needs to be. Why do you think the original Retro Cars got sold to another publisher... ?!
Anyways, you buy or you don't. Simples.

This magazine is consistently excellent.
There is no substitute for a nice glossy magazine full of awesome cars.
I do not understand how anyone who is a member of this forum can find a bad word to say about it. They are clearly unbalanced and irrational. If we do not support this sort of publication we will lose it altogether and I'm sure the same people will appear saying "I used to read it blah blah blah"
As for the accusation of plagiarism, that is quite a strong claim. Have you actually read the articles or are you just being cretinous too?

I Don't think saying that some of the cars featured can be seen on the net (forums etc) is accusing any magazine of plagiarism as Mr B says the photos, text etc is all new - but that isn't really the debate. I will say again - I hope it and other magazines survive.

I'll be buying this one, despite having seen 2 of the cover cars on the interweb many times before, it'd be good to see some new photos and decent write up on them. The Mk1 Golf is one of my all time faves.

I don't see a problem with mags sharing cars, you cant expect each car to have 1 feature and never be seen again, lots of people would miss out. anyway if you only buy RC it wont matter.
I agree with emdee about supporting it - everyone here should.
**and, its a lot easier to browse than a long build thread - just the facts and some nice completed pics.

Anyone with an interest in modified old cars should love the fact a magazine like this even exists. It'll only stay that way if people continue to buy it, support the scene and be a part of it. One of the best Magazines I've had the fortune to read, excellent photography and useful info.

Well I buy every issue, because a) even though I live with one arm in the internet I still see stuff I've not seen and find out details I didn't know and b) I'm happy to support the scene I love. Others may not be happy to show that support, and that is their choice.
Looking forward to this issue, that Bluebird looks immense.
