Wohoo. Its come home for a few days. So basicly over the past week i made up the new front hub and vertical link frames and supplied these to the fab shop, ended looking like this with brake caliper mounts and steering arms to be added. so with those parts supplied the fab shop has got me a rolling frame less suspension components so i can mount the engine and gearbox for them and then i'll be taking it back to have the suspension mounts constructed, gearbox tunnel and floor finished and a nice new bulkhead sheet, inner wings and front steel mounting up. Expect plenty of pics over the weekend of the work so far, engine mountingand whatever else i can get completed before taking it back for the last bits by others. After that i'll take control of the project again and push forwars to completion. Yay some pics when Icollected her the red tubes are tacked on so i can identify the top of the wing level at the front. Hi, Can I ask what hubs & joints you are using with your uprights?. Cheers Paul

Blimey, your not afraid to try your own thing are you, good on ya!
I hope thats an industrial rose joint on the bottom of the upright, cos there will be a lot of load on it with the shock pushing 1/4 the weight of the car down through it.
Like your determination !!

Nice one mate.
Just out of interest, once it is finished is it then a modified BMW or modified Taunus and can you still get away with builds like this these days?

Jesus, i didn't see that coming! Nice one!
At risk of being the party pooper (someone will be eventually) what will be the MOT plan? I think that might fall into the radically altered band a touch...

Looks good! Hope a suitable dash won't be too hard to achieve. Certainly solved a lot of fabrication difficulties that weren't looking too good with the earlier concept.

At the end of the last time you were playing with this I deleted it from my bookmarks......
Turns out that was a silly thing to do....
Good progress and a great angle of attack
