PPC forum trackday @ Blyton 20/09/13

Hi all,

I'm helping to organise a trackday at Blyton Park Circuit, on Friday 20th September.
We're trying to keep the numbers sensible (about 35-40 cars total).
So that everyone gets plenty of track time, we're also trying to get an interesting mix of cars there, rather than the usual collection of trackday weapons.

It's £100 per car, and no extra for extra drivers, or passengers.
There is camping available the night before, at a cost of £10 per pitch.

The day itself will be run by the guys at Blyton Park, we are hoping to keep it as an open pitlane day, but if they decide it may have to change to having 2 groups running, but that is there decision, and will be based entirely on safety.

I need a £40 deposit to secure your place, with the balance needing to be paid by the first week in August.

Hi, to be honest, we're trying our best to have as many unusual cars as possible on the track.
For example, I'll be there in my 1982 Merc 280E, then they'll be a Fiat powered SIMCA, a Pug V6 powered Magenta kit car, a Saab powered Astra, and a Reliant Robin track car!!!

I know there will still a lot of the usual trackday fodder (Porsche, MR2, caterham, etc...), but I'm trying my best to keep it interesting...

We've now got 15 spaces confirmed, with another 6 waiting for deposits.

This will be advertised in the April issue of PPC.

Is anyone interested in this, before it is advertised in the mag?

Mk2 astra estate unusual enough for ya? If you promise me charlie`s rover is going to be there i`ll give it a go.

Your more than welcome, I'm trying get a good mix of cars, to try and make things interesting.

I can't promise if Charlie's Rover will there, simply because he's not sure if the engine will back in it by then.
The Rover's engine and the homemade dyno will be at PPC in the Park, at Mallory park, on May 18th (I'm fetching it with my lorry).

There should a few other PPC cars there, but I don know what yet...

The track is brilliant now, it's has a great Tarmac circuit that was laid nearly 2 years ago.

There has been a lot if investment in the last couple of years, everyone I know who's been recently loves it.

I keep getting people ask me, but then never hear from them again.

If your waiting to put your name down, don't, there aren't many places left, and only by paying a deposit, will you secure your place.
