Singer Gazelle 1967 1st of the Hunter shape 1725 auto this is a complete car
but a restro project as it needs a fair bit of weldig, the rear screen has blown
& the front calipers are stuck on but she runs sweet been of the road since 2004 83 k on tghe clock

I have loads of history on this old girl

Hi,

£650 was probably the correct price for it, especially if it needs welding and an MOT. I paid around £300 for my Minx which is also an automatic (though that was several years ago) and that was with MOT and tax. I think Seth paid a similar amount for his Estate, and Baz paid around £650 for a very nice Singer Vogue. The Gazelle was the base Singer model so would have come equipped with an iron head 1495 (manual) or iron head 1725 (automatic) rather than the ally head 1725 as found in the Vogue.

The estates are generally worth a more than the Saloons, but even a really nice Vogue Estate isn't likely to fetch more than £4500. A really nice Saloon probably won't fetch much more than £2500. Pity really as they are nice cars and even the iron head base models can manage motorway speed without too much fuss.

Also, some more pictures, especially of the rotten bits would help sell it. Usual grot spots are front wings, front corners of sills, and front floorpans/outriggers.

The guy 'selling' that one for £20k is clearly a fairly heavy user of recreational drugs, here's where he bought it (for £1500), he hasnt even bothered taking his own photographs.
