So that's the hubs/spacers drilled and fixed to the axle shaft with 8mm shoulder bolts. Wider track can bee seen, I'll be welding in some 100mm lengths of tube between the old bearing mounting face (on the sides of the frame) to the new bearing carriers - should support them nicely.....

Decided with the location of the brake caliper it could do with a bit of protection from debris/stones/rocks etc so welded these brackets in...... and cut a bit of steel to fit over..... Should protect the sprocket to some extent too. Additions to frame all welded up now I know it's square and works, and a quick coat of paint..... and start reassembly....

Awesome!
I've seen a 4 pint milk carton used as a 'crud catcher' cable tie the handle to the down tube and trim it to suit, might stop your man bouts getting caked in mud.

Haven't posted on here for a very long time! Keep popping in to have a look at some of the cracking project mind. your trike build being one of them Chris. . just the inspiration I needed to build this. needed paint to finish but now picked up a 50cc moped for free to use to power it. But the drive set up means I'm going to have to mount the motor under the frame rather than behind the axle. ! Keep the updates coming Chris?

Not many updates at the moment, just using it and having fun - although I'm thinking about rear suspension to make it a bit more useable/enjoyable off road. Like the web detailing on the frame, are those wooden wheels on yours? I've seen a few trike projects powered by moped engines which look quite cool with the motor in the frame, if I were to do one I'd go for a chopper style trike.... Awesome! Thanks for the idea but I've just taken to putting on some overalls - problem sorted.

There wood is only the to clap, and compress up the rubber to Form a tight fit on the poly pipe. Only a temporary fix till I find some proper inflatable tyres for it. Engine on hold at the moment. Belt drive on it proving a tad hard to work in with the rear axle! So going to make up a pedal front axle for it. Just so the boy ( and me!) Can get out and have a go! !

If that is the case, he's not registered it as having left these shores, as there's no export marker on the DVLA page?

Had some fun in the snow with this the other day, worked surprisingly well considering the depth It did cut out at one point due to the shear amount of snow on the engine, air filter and rammed underneath in the running gear but with it knocked off it fired up again. Video from a day later, snow was more compacted and slippery so didn't go quite so well..... Throttle cable then decided to seize open which ended the fun, also made driving it back to the workshop fun - one hand reaching behind me on the stop button to slow the engine. Think the problem may have just been the cold from having snow stuck on it for a couple of days as it's fine now.
