Covins are quite rare over here (US) but wish I had one rather than my 912s which were both riddled with metal worm (one worse than the other). Then this turned up just over the boarder in Canada - two untouched bodies. One slope nose convertible, the other wide bodied coupe! www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/kit-cars-covin-kits_25889076Sweet car. Keep up the great work!

Oh God! My level of wanting a 912/911 just went up about ten notches after watching that love this car, and when I get space in the workshop/finish building the house, there's a Porsche gap that needs filling!!

I keep coming back to this every couple of months to have a read through your work. Well done on getting an MOT! It looks nuts! I concur with others about a drive video being needed

Haven't logged in for a while so seeing this is on the road was a pleasant surprise. It looks freakin' awesome and certainly has a far higher cool rating than when you started. Easily well over 1000 megafonzies!

Back seat practically there. Just waiting for lap belts to arrive. Not happy with the finish on the side panels, so they will be redone at some point.

Also worth noting when messing about with these types of wiper systems that the wiper wheel boxes are also available in different sweeps as well as pinion depths. Typically the passenger side getting a 135 degree sweep and the drivers 90 degree - Been in quite a few cars where this has has been ignored either having wipers clean off the screen on the drivers side or leaving unwiped centre sections.

Its this level of attention to detail which makes me love your threads. Love how this is turning out, only thing I'm not totally sold on is the rear lights I think i'd be digging deep for some genuine Porsche items. Carry on sir!

The wheel boxes are mostly likely 32 teeth (mini, mg triumph etc) items (just an assumption as those are the most common and cheapest, bought back in the early 90's with the unipart wiper motor. The common choices are 32 or 40 teeth boxes. you can get 22 teeth but are very early mini and other random cars and are rather expensive. So as Seth advises me, the lower the teeth number, the wider the arc. my next option will be look at the gear drive arm. i think a shorter arm gives a wider arc coupled to the 140deg cog. i believe the max cog size you can get for thb 14W motors is 150 degrees but are very rare.

simply brilliant work on the wiper system....I still struggle with "system comprehension".....though I may get how a component works, getting beyond that sometimes requires MUCH thought!....
well done!
