There are a few of us meeting up on Friday afternoon to convoy the last 30 or so miles down to Prescott. Just thought I'd post our own arrangments here so that anyone else heading down early on Friday can meet up with us if they so wish. Have picked a spot a few miles South of the convergence of the M42 and M5, which will be ideal for anyone coming down from either the North West or North East/East Midlands for a last stop before punching on the last leg to The Gathering. Rendezvous point: The Pit Stop Cafe, A38 Wychbold (between Bromsgrove and Droitwich) Postcode: B61 7ER
Rendezvous time: 2pm onwards for a 3pm departure. If you're meeting up, The Pit Stop has an enormous concreted car park, we'll probably park up at the back of it as there's almost always a huge queue of HGV's waiting to use the fuel bunkering service and we don't want to get in their way. No need to add your names to any list (though you can if you want to), just turn up if you want to travel down in the company of a few like-minded loonies. Brian

Our ferry arrives in to Holyhead around 11, Google maps tells me I should be able to reach Bromsgrove in 3 hours…

Might try to latch onto this, depending on the route I'm taking. What speed would we be convoying at? If I go above 65 my MPG goes into negative figures

The M5 on a Friday afternoon in summer is a bit of a mare so I wouldn't worry about breaking 60mph even! I have an alternative route planned if the motorway's particularly bad. Might go that way anyway as it's rather picturesque and won't take much longer if at all.

Here's the alternative route if the M5's snarled up. Literally half a mile longer!
