Wow not updated this in ages and thats because not alot has happened really lol, daily use for a but then long time nothing, didley, it just sat, a buddy used it one to collect an engine and thats about it, till Sunday when i was persuaded to fire up the wagon and go for breakfast, it was nice to kick the old beast to life and give it a run and remind me i really need to use it a bit more lol Here's some pics Even the Pudwink enjoyed heading out in the old wagon again Mid iced bun munching lol and a final shot of 3 dodgy looking geezers in a sierra Breakfast was by the way awesome, me and the little pud finished it and had big bellys after lol All i've done is use it, errrm not enough lol, after the breakie run i did'nt really use it till a good run to a friends place to help him on his latest acquisition 2 months after lol and then while working on the mk3 getting it ready to go off we decided to swap wheels around as i didn't want the slots getting damaged so we did this and while doing so cortinaboy did this lol It has seen lots more use over the last few weeks and it been good dragging the old wagon back to regular use again, he's another poser pick while i was doing runs for the mk3 what do you think of the slots on the wagon? good look? alot of people have said to me they suit the wagon better than the mk3 Cheers for following Mike

While i'm here let's update this one too, Well the wagon has just been working, flew another MOT and has been on daily duty, but it's been hauling some fair weight the last couple weeks 1st up a fun to just outside came bridge for a couple of Zetecs then over to haverhill to drop one off before back to ipswich with the other then weekend just gone off to leicestershire 4 up for a spare 2.3 and a chin wag then down a little for some panels and a more chin wagging with some fellow cortina nuts theres a 2.3 in there somewhere And some Poseing by yours truely lol The old wagon did'nt miss a beat at all, did us proud, would love to say i checked it over and prepped it before but i did'nt just jumped in and went lol Cheers for following Mike

Update time After the trip to Leicester i didn't use the wagon for a couple weeks but in the mean time i won an engine on the bay of E not a million miles away, this time an 8v DOHC, again a parts lump, this came complete as pulled from the car..........including auto box, so i washed the wagon we loaded up and of we went to collect the booty, the chap i got it from was a top guy and helped loading it with his little cultivator lol We got it home, unloaded and in the garden without killing ourselves lol we split the 2 and then on the stand ready for Mrs Conair to scavenge it. Which brings me to the next part of the update, i still had the old 1600 pinto kicking around from the MK3, now this was lumpy on idle and was assumed it was a dead valve seat, so a plan had been forming to strip it apart and sort it to go in the wagon so i could rebuild that as its getting a little smokey on start up, but with a little twist, i'm planning on putting a 2.0 cam, 4 branch and twin choke to give it a little more pep but this is a summer evening project and no rush so we got started Now with the head apart we found the valve seats are actually ok, the head needs a damn god clean but the rough idling don't think was here, as you can see Mrs C is full into the swing lol i'll update the rest of what we found in a bit. Cheers Mike
