It passed the MOT at the end of July, so I used it to go to work for a little while. It really shifts, and so long as I plan my route and avoid the brutal speed ramps in east Oxford then I find it quite usable. The wife hates it though, so any time we go anywhere en famile we have to go in the Multipla. It feels absurd to be driving everywhere in a knackered diesel MPV when I've got a beautiful fast retro sitting on the driveway. Cheers Duncan

Not used it since the last post (except to move it off and back onto the drive for the builders). Fed up of driving a curse word car every day leaving this one on the drive covered in leaves.

How strange, I drove past a Porsche specialist earlier today and he had 3, yep, that's right! 3 of these parked outside and I instantly wondered how you was getting on with yours. Shame to hear you're not using it so much. I always try to drive something fun to work on a Friday, I've even got to the stage where I will take the dog to the downs or forest two counties over for a walk just to get out in the thing. Are there any local meets you could get to? It sucks when these wonderful things are left dormant, because in my case, I get thinking too much about selling or other such absurd things.

My Multipla has died , so I'm considering what to get next (maybe a modern EV). In the meantime, I'm using the 924. 200 miles over the weekend with family on board went OK, so I can use it more. And what other 37 year old car could be left on the driveway for a couple of months, have the battery charged, and then just be used and depended on? Quality. Cheers Duncan

This car is still for sale, now on the original wheels and suspension, and with a new MOT. Price reduced to £8000 or near offer. I'll create a new advert with some good pictures - here's one of how it looks now: IMG_20170709_183051 by duncancmartin, on Flickr Just to be clear, it sold in August 2017.
