There was nothing wrong before they were there all they do is wind people up. General consensus is they are not liked. Actually the general consensus is that they are liked and useful as more people have used them to share content than have had something negative to say in this thread. So if this were a democracy or mob rule that alone would mean they were staying. As it is I run the forum how I'd like to so I'm still waiting and seeing. I'm not going to bin off a feature that people are finding useful in the first two days of it being live, but I will do if it provides no value or someone can offer a compelling reason beyond "I don't like them" ... and being close to button x,y, or z is not that compelling a reason as a lot of buttons are close to each other on here and you've managed not to accidentally hit them I'm guessing In summary : hairnet what browser/OS are you on?

The buttons has made the cursor selections go all messed up for me. Back when they weren't there I was able to actually see my cursor change as I hovered over a thread. Now it just stays either as a pointing finger or as a arrow.
I have blocked them using adblocker but the problem still persists. This is using chrome, and even with them gone they interfere with the scroll bar so I cannot actually click it and drag it down to move down the forum. I have to instead use my keyboard keys which is quite frustrating as it jumps in big gaps!
Please sort it out. Couldn't you just add them to the banner along the top of the screen?

Yeah they look much better on the bottom of the threads and I'm not having any issues now with cursors etc. Thanks very much for sorting it out so quick! I think it looks more professional and cleaner where they are now, not as obtrusive so people wont complain about not being able to hide them anymore!
Thanks again

The problems seem to have re-occurred with the cursors which is strange. I'm unsure if these are linked though? They did resolve themselves temporarily before but its just the same again now.

No share/follow bar now, whatever you've done is better for me at moment......x fingers
I'm not against change or even links to faceache/twatter, feels better to have some choice of ease of use.
Merci

very discreet in the bar between thread and reply box. same functionality, less intrusive (or obtrusive), actually looks part of the forum now. not that my opinion actually matters, but back to defcon 5

Not sure if it's linked to this, but occasionally I'm getting a 'This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved.' script when using the back button, as if I've entered some text into the Quick Reply box but not posted it. It's never the case though.

I'm getting 'sharing buttons' appearing on each and every image as I scroll down a thread. They are quite annoying.

The image sharing thing was there so that original credit is easier to get for images you share, say for example all the photos you take at a motorsports event. I thought it a neat way to credit source, enable sharing and bring interested people back whilst being unobtrusive, seeing as you need to mouse over the image to see the share* I figured it wasn't an issue and that tiny blue line up on the top right is tiny, and blue (like the forum) so is hardly glaring.
I'm sorry if the efforts to bring interested parties back into the forum are offensive to people, I've tried to find ways that didn't take away from the actual content of the message. I'm not sorry enough to turn them off though.

(I'm assuming Seth is on a Mobile device of some sort) You assume I have a greater handle on modern technology than my cars would suggest! I am on a home PC so only mobile in the inter-planetary sense. Anyway, they're still there. I understand your reasons for doing it, just a bit annoying as it comes up on some people's avatar photos, and even the little versions of them that appear in quotes. I'll just ahve to make sure the cursor is off to one side before scrolling down. The little blue thing is no problem as far as I am concerned.

If you're quick at the moment some bonkers analytics thing that Proboards are using is blocking the javascript load anyway (which I think may be causing the navigation/back/reload issue that VIP spotted) It shouldn't be on the smaller images like avatars and stuff as far as I know... what browser are you using Seth. I've made changes so that it doesn't load on mobile and tablet browsers now I think

It's shown as a vertical line on the feet side of the photo. Facebook at the top and P at the bottom.

It does it on your own avatar, Hotwire. I'm on Firefox, also on a home PC.
EDIT: actually, does it on all the avatars on this page
